          Lovely Wood

Comments about Cordoba 20TM Tenor Ukulele:

I considered buying a spruce top Ukulele because I know that spruce top guitars have much louder, punchier tone, but this is a ukulele, it is not supposed to be a dominant instrument. The mahogany wood is so lovely, it beat all the others on looks alone. The inlay is really nice (not a sticker or painted on), and the tuning keys are a beautiful pearloid white. The fretboard has a nice pointed design at the soundhole end and the headstock also has a nice shape. This is not a toy or junky tourist trinket. I have not tested intonation with a tuner, but I cannot detect any "sourness" as I play up the neck. You can use the same fingerings that you use for guitar chords with this. The strings are just in a higher key, as if you had the capo on a higher (5th?) fret. Of course there are only 4 strings. What would be the lowest string on a guitar is an octave up. Easy to play, with soft nylon strings. The sound is just what you want from a ukulele. You can pay a lot more without getting a lot more, but if you went for a cheaper one you could be sacrificing non-negotiable playability factors. This is stable and well made.

Comments about Cordoba 20TM Tenor Ukulele:

Have wanted to learn how to play the ukulele for a long time and my husband surprised me with it for Christmas. Not only is this a beautiful mahogany instrument, but the sound is beautiful. Even though I'm a beginner, I can play a few chords and the tone sounds great! I would recommend this instrument to any aspiring ukulele player.

          Very happy!

          By

          from Columbia Station, Ohio

Comments about Cordoba 20TM Tenor Ukulele:

After years of playing on a $35.00 ukulele that I got when I signed up for an adult education class on learning the play the ukulele (the "uke" came with the class), I decided that I wanted a "real" ukulele. I read reviews and listed pros and cons of different ukes and finally decided on this one mainly because the Guitar Center near to me had a Cordoba tenor uke that I was able to play and I liked the tone and I wanted the Aquila strings since a lot of folks recommended them. I ordered this ukulele on a late Saturday afternoon and picked it up on Tuesday - fast delivery! It sounds just beautiful (especially if I hit the right chords) and it is keeping in tune with only minor tweaking every couple of days. I'm very happy with the purchase and service from Guitar Center.

          Funtastic

          By

Comments about Cordoba 20TM Tenor Ukulele:

After years of wondering about these little stringed instruments, what they were all about,is it an instrument that I would get bored with ,etc.i picked a ukulele up and strummed it a while, and I liked it.after reading reveiws about theinternet and inspecting several brands I decided on this Cordoba Tenor TM20.I ordered at the guitar cener in brea and had it sent to my house for free.Next I waited impatiently for 4 days for my little uke to arrive.from the time I received it until now I have played it everyday, because of its size it is so easy to play anywhere.i have played guitar for over 30 years and will tell you that this has gotten the creative juices flowing(not just on the new uke but also new ideas on my guitar).this is a beautifully made instrument that sounds as great as it looks.i do not foresee any regrets on buying this little sound monster.if you have never played a stringed instrument but always wanted to this is the instrument to start on,it's fun ,easy, easy on your fingers(and wallet) and sounds amazing.if you are a seasoned guitar player, you will find (4)string chords on this small scale neck a snap to pick and go.All in all just buy this uke and start having fun....enjoy, ' ,!!!

          Uke Crazy!

          By

          from San Diego, CA

Comments about Cordoba 20TM Tenor Ukulele:

I bought a Lanikai soprano uke for my daughter this past Christmas so she could play it in her elementary school class where she's student-teaching. She learned a few chords while in Hawaii last summer so I thought it was a good idea. Wrong! Now "I'm" uke crazy and bought a Cordoba tenor uke online thru the Guitar Center which I love. The tone is fantastic...the finish a silky smooth-to-the-touch feel...and the case is exceptional.

          My Second Cordoba Ukulele.

          By

          from Palmdale,Ca.

Comments about Cordoba 20TM Tenor Ukulele:

This is my second ukulele from Cordoba and it's just as good as my first one. My first ukulele is the 25SK and does not get any better then that for the qaulity and price. As for the 20TM Tenor I'm just as pleased with the looks and sound as my first Cordoba ukulele. It's staying in tune really good after long playing. All solid mahogany wood on the top, back and sides. No laminated wood on this ukulele. Not to bad for a hand made instrument at such a great price. It's quality made and I would recommend this ukulele for anyone. The gig bag is good and should keep it protected if you store it properly.
