I had been interested in picking up the ukelele for about six months but hadn't really gotten a chance to take it seriously until recently, so that's when the research began. I saw plenty of beautiful ukes in this price range, but none that were acoustic/electric. The most important thing I learned from many review videos and ukelele websites was to go to a store and put your hands on one before you bought it. Boy was I glad I went to Guitar Center first! Some of the other models I was interested in held tuning terribly (yes I know the strings need time to stretch and all that) but after a few strum sessions with each uke, they sounded awful and needed retuning. I settled on this model after I laid my hands on it and heard its beautiful sound. I rarely have to re-tune it even after playing it all day. The mahogany has a much more unique and pleasing sound over some Koa models and the satin finish is to die for. The only thing I didn't care for was the tuning keys which look a little plastic-like up close, but a very minor drawback and can be swapped out if you really wanted. One detail not apparent until you hold one of these babies is the hand laid wood pattern around the hole and on the bridge. I first thought it was like many cheaper ukes, and that it was a sticker, or plastic inlay, but was very impressed with that little detail. I'm a guitar player and found the tenor size much more comfortable and pleasing versus a soprano. Concert sizes play well too, but there wasn't much of a selection at that store. Preamp is extremely powerful and has a very full sound when plugged in. Anyone who plays this ukelele will be more than pleased, for sure. I got this baby for a steal at a labor day sale, but would've gladly payed the list price or the online price for it.

I purchased this Ukulele for my granddaughter. She has another Ukulele but it wasn't a very good one and I thought she needed a better quality Ukulele. I wanted her to have an Acoustic-Electric instrument and it is also what she said she wanted. I looked online for a ukulele and finally decided to purchase from Guitar Center. When I went into the store to buy one I was told that the one they had not only had a defect on the neck but that the electronics also didn't work right and couldn't be fixed. They said they could order a new one and that is what I did. I received the new Ukulele in perfect time as my granddaughter was going to be visiting me the next day. She absolutely loved, loved, loved, her new acoustic-electric ukulele. I received a phone call from my daughter after they had returned home informing my the the electric input on the ukulele had come apart and again could not be fixed. Guitar Center is once again ordering my granddaughter another Ukulele. It's not that Guitar Center isn't taking care of us it is just that the product doesn't seem to be of very good quality. I am not very happy!

Gone a little UKE CRAZY!!

By Bradley Anderson

Comments about Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Ukulele:

I got inspired earlier this summer after hearing some ukulele music. Purchased my Lanikai Concert uke a few months ago and love it. The sound is great, it looks wonderful and friends giggle a lot when I play. Then I had to hear a tenor, fell in love with that sound and being a little larger it is easier to play (tall guy, big hands). I never played a string instrument before this summer, boy am I hooked! The cordoba 20TM-CE is priced right for a beginner such as myself. I'm not expert although I have ear for music, it is well crafted and impressive to play. Plugged in to an amp is even better. Highly recommended!!! Oh yeah order a case and stand and one is still under $300.00 Happy Strumming!

Great Instrument

Comments about Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Ukulele:

I bought this about a year ago so i have had plenty of time to put it through it's paces. All I can tell you is that this is a great instrument. You can buy other Ukes with electronics for the same price but I haven't found one yet that had a solid mahogany top like this one. I've played guitar for 25 years and anyone that's played a wooden instrument knows you will never get a great sound out of an instrument with a laminate top. In fact I love it so much that I'm thinking of buying a second one to string in a low g tuning for jazz and soloing. It's well constructed and holds up to New England weather well if like me you live in a place where it can be 100 degrees in the summer and -20 in the winter. I can't say enough about this uke. It is simply the best uke you can get in this price range.

Comments about Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Ukulele:

Bought this ukulele after a long research on Ukuleles. Went to Guitar Center and looked some more. I love this Ukulele for the looks and the sounds. I'm new to playing the ukulele and this is awesome for the price and sound. I have enjoyed the last week playing and learning the Uk. I' m no music genius and playing this is easy.

Comments about Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Ukulele:

Played one in a guitar center store and it sounded really good. It was on sale for 120$ or so because the top was badly damaged on the bottom behind the bridge. They had no more in stock so I ordered one online from GC.

It came in about 2 weeks or less and was well packaged. Problem was, the #4 G string did not jive with the #1 A string. They got more and more out of tune to each other as you played down the neck. The intonnation was out, no matter how perfectly I tuned it.

I decided to return it and order another one. I was able to do both right at my local GC. It came in about a week. The second uke played WAY better than the first one, so I am satisfied. I've only had it about a week, so I cannot say more, but I'm happy with my second uke.

Comments about Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Ukulele:

I'm a children's artist, and I needed a good electric/acoustic Uke to use with my Mackie PA system, mainly for birthday party gigs, and smaller family shows. This one has been amazing. It holds its tuning really well, and has a nice warm tone.
The ONLY thing "wrong" with it is that it doesn't have strap buttons.. So if you like to play standing up, you might need to get creative on the strap front. (an old dog leash and velcro strips!)

Comments about Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Ukulele:

Since acoustic guitar failed me many times over & my fingers wont cooperates. I finally bite the bullet and bought one. So I decided to go to Guitar Center, they have all different kind of brands, style, designs. They have Kala, Luna, Lanikai, Kohala, Mitchell, Fender, Ephiphone, Gretsch & Cordoba. Believe it or not, Cordoba was not on my list. I was leaning towards other brand. But after holding each one of them, feeling it to my hands, struming it and play few cords back to back. I keep coming back to Cordoba 20TM-CE. It's just a friendly ukulele, easy to play and it's like its telling me to PLAY ME, PLAY ME, PICK ME, PICK ME. After spending at least an hour and a half inside the store deciding and thinking what to get. The brand I've been watching on youtube, read many positive comments and reviews. The brand were my mind was set to get didn't happened. I walked out of the door with CORDOBA 20TM-CE. I am very happy with it. And I'm glad I made the right choice. 5 stars worth for this guy. I only have 1 problem, this ukulele is not attached to my body..

This is my second cordoba uke and it's a great one! Sound projection is amazing and it feels very comfortable to the hands. The neck is wide enough for good/comfortable playing, yet not so wide for it to be a problem (at least for me). Pickup system responds really well when plugged in. Overall a great buy and a keeper. Cheers!

As a musician I play multiple instruments including piano and guitar. I recently added the Ukulele as capoing the guitar didn't always give me exactly what I wanted. So far I am pretty happy with the sound and feel of the instrument. The pickup on this Cordoba is great for hooking up and recording.

This is my first tenor. I have been playing Ukulele for a while now and this was immidiately my favorite of the 4 that I own. The solid top is amazing and you will not see that in any other uke in this price range. It is all around smooth and clean. No sharp edges or frets. It's very nicely put together. The electronics are very nice and work well. It has a wonderful sound, acoustically and when plugged into an amp. This Uke is a steal for the price and you will not find this kind of quality in this price range from any other than Cordoba.

Comments about Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Ukulele:

I purchased a concert uke this summer and like it a lot. Then I got to here a tenor liked the sound of it. so i purchased the Cordoba from you, I have had it a couple of weeks, what bothers me is the tuning pegs. Every other day I'm retuning it. I got this one based on price, thinking it would be as good well it is not the pegs are not as good as the concert model of a different brand. I may have to upgrade the tuning pegs. which will probably be a hassle because it's non returnable. (an oversight on my part). My excitement about wanting learn to play the uke got the better of me. I'll be making a phone soon.

I've owned a Cordoba Concert size for several years and I knew that when it was time to purchase an acoustic/electric I'd go to Cordoba first. No other ukulele in this price range has the beautiful tone of the Cordoba, and the finish on these instruments equals the quality of ukuleles priced 2 to 3 times as much. I tried others and nothing felt and sounded as good the Cordoba. I could not be more satisfied with my purchase. I keep it nearby and reach for it several times a day, and I miss it when I'm at work.

I bought this uke sight unseen after reading and watching reviews of it and similar ukes. This one had the size and tone we were looking for along with the advantage to play it through our PA System. The tone is mellow yet clear enough to play melodies. I expected to get a gear bag with the ukulele as some other reviews indicated but I did not.

This is a very awesome ukulele. The tone is wonderful and when plugged into a Fender Acoustic amp sounds really great! I absolutely love playing this instrument!

**That being said, I only gave it 4 stars since I had to return the very first one of these I purchased. The one I returned had a lackluster C string that occasionally "buzzed" depending on which fret I was on. Also, the gain of the pickup seemed low. Guitar Center exchanged that unit for the one that I have now, so I couldn't be happier. The lesson here is that apparently not all of these are reproducible from one to another, so make sure you try out a new unit before you purchase since it may not sound the same as the demo unit.
