Perfect for the student of Djangology.

Adhering to Mario Maccaferri's original 1930's-era designs and specifications, the Gitano D-5 features a "large-mouth," D-shaped soundhole. With a solid spruce soundboard, enclosed tuning machines, and "moustache" bridge, it evokes the sound, sophistication, and excitement of another era with unmatched affordability.

Cordoba Gitano D-5 Acoustic Gypsy Jazz Guitar Features:

  • Solid spruce top
  • Indian rosewood back and sides
  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • Mahogany neck
  • Gold enclosed tuners
  • 25.59" scale
  • 1.97" nut width

Recalls the golden age of gypsy jazz in the hot clubs of Paris. Order today.

Django jazz is alive and well

I have wanted a gypsy jazz guitar for years but the available models were always out of my price range. When I saw the Cordoba Gitano D-5 at Guitar Center for such a great deal I immediately bought one. Of course, it is great for Gypsy-Jazz playing, but I also found it useful for fingerstyle jazz as the neck is a little wider and it's easy to get the fingers (even wearing finger picks) inside the strings. I highly recommend this guitar. It is beautiful to look at and a blast to play. I have about a half-dozen guitars and this one is now my favorite.
