The solid cedar top and mahogany body offer a rich tonal spectrum.

The Cordoba Dolce 7/8 Size Classical guitar features a solid cedar top and mahogany back and sides for a rich, sweet tone. The Dolce has a comfortable neck with low action made out of Spanish cedar with an ebony fingerboard. The slightly smaller body size makes the Dolce ideal for female guitarists or younger students. Aesthetic appointments include a rosewood headstock overlay, a diamond patterned wood marquetry rosette, and gold plated tuners with pearloid buttons. Cordoba guitars are handmade in Spain by the same luthiers who have built instruments for the world-famous Gipsy Kings. This classical possesses a level of quality and tone not commonly found in this price range.

  • the right guitar

As reviewed by Monty Brecheen on 4/5/2011

After trying several guitars to that would allow me to continue to play with my aging arthritic hands I chose the Cordoba 7/8. The action is good and eases the stress on my hands. The guitar itself has great deep tone and a class look.

  • A Great Classical Guitar

As reviewed by Lindy on 7/4/2011

I bought this guitar four months ago and it has quickly become my main preforming guitar. The sound is warm yet relaxing. A variety of styles can be played on this guitar; in one set I preform classics from Tarrega and Carcassi, Scott Joplin's The Entertainer, and Blackbird by the Beatles. Since the guitar is 7/8ths, not only is it spoiling my small womanly fingers, it's easy to pack for gigs. It's light, so gigging with this guitar is easy. It's easy to navigate around the neck, although I wish I got a cutaway. The 13th fret is reachable, but I start struggling after that. Aside from that, the neck itself is perfect. I have awesome speed on the fretboard. The neck is just the right size. I have a uni directional mic for live gigs and always crank the reverb. The sustain is good, but the reverb just makes it sing. This guitar has to be amped to preform with. Otherwise, when unamped, it makes a great lounging guitar; Great for around a camp fire or just noodling at home with friends. I am very pleased with the Dolce and next time I need a guitar I will look into Cordoba first. I am surprised by the pricing of this guitar. You won't find something this good in a price range this cheap.

  • Great workmanship

Cordoba Dolce is a great classical (spanish style)guitar for that kind of price. Very decent instrument for the money.
