I'm usually a bass player and other instruments as well. But i felt writing songs would be an easier task if i used a guitar rather than my bass. So i went to my local guitar center looking for a acoustic guitar. I wasn't specifically going in there for a classical guitar but the neks on them felt more natural being the thickness. so I bought the cadete because it was cheap, nice looking and extremely easy for me to play. the action is wonderful and super low. It came complete with relatively nice strings also and a case thats super padded and seams to be a durable item as well. the guitar is fairly light and the finish on it is out of this world. its almost like a 3D finish. It stays in tune very well also all around this guitar is very well made and I would recommend it to anyone looking to learn how to play the guitar.

  • Small guitar Big Sound

As reviewed by Tim Pledger on 6/28/2011

Bought this guitar to use a a travel guitar because of its small size and light weight. I was astounded at the lush full balanced sound of this instrument. I find myself playing this one instead of my $1500 classical. Fit and finish are flawless. Comes with a very nice gig bag. Cordoba strikes again. Buy it!

  • A Great Voice in a Little Package

As reviewed by Nealio on 3/9/2009

I wish I could rate this with decimal points...if I could I'd rate it at 4.5. I think a lot of people blow off "student" guitars due to the label. As we move through life, we are tempted to label things; this is a bad practice because it closes the mind to possibilities. I compose/arrange and record my own stuff, since I play multiple instruments. I have yet to find that darker-sounding guitar--spruce tops are too bright for my purposes--that projects well, until now. This guitar will be used to provide rhythmic comping for jazz-bossa compositions...I'm stoked! Yes, while not perfect, at this price I challenge you to find a guitar from such a highly-respected manufacturer, with virtually flawless construction and with such unexpectedly superior sound projection AND with a neck that's easy on smaller hands, like mine. As one would expect from Cordoba, the construction and finish were worthy of a top-of-the-line classical. Nothing fancy--I hate paying for cosmetics, kinda like dating a high-maintenance woman--but what they provide is of superior quality. Great gig bag, too!
