  • Beautiful tone for a nice low price

As reviewed by David P on 3/28/2011

I will not make myself out to be an expert by any means, but I do have an eye for quality and a keen musical ear. I bought my Spruce top C7 two months ago and have received many compliments and attention from other guitarists. I am taking a classical guitar class, the instructor (who owns a specialty classical guitar business) was very impressed by the tone, workmanship and most of all the value (price) of this C7. When I was shopping for the guitar, I played every classical guitar in one of biggest Guitar Center stores around. This C7 is a definite standout from all the others in its class and honestly compared to the much higher-priced hand built models in the $3500-$6000 in terms of tone quality and playing ease. In my opinion, the Rodriguez models and others offered by Guitar Center and do not produce the beautiful, rich, warm tone that this bargain-priced guitar does. I am very impressed with the workmanship and tone of the Cordoba product line. I almost bought a C5 but the C7's styling and warmer tone won me over. The C9 was impressive as well but seemed to be a more ornate and detailed version of the C7. Had I not seen the price tag, I would have assumed that the C7 was one of the top-shelf expensive models. Oh yeah, I almost forgot; The soft case/gig bag is a handy bonus. The gig bag has backpack straps and a zippered pocket, just the perfect size for your guitar textbook or sheet music.
