  • Cordoba C7-CE: Guitar you will enjoy

As reviewed by Sergei on 2/24/2011

Received guitar couple weeks ago and can not stop enjoying it. This is very nice guitar - beautiful look and finish. It sounds pleasantly when playing solo pieces and classical compositions. This CE7-CE has a cedar top and Fishman Presys blend pickup with onboard digital tuner. I use in the band as well. It is worth money to buy it. I have another C1 classical guitar and even though this is cutaway guitar, compared to C1 it sounds to me better - sound is crisp and loud.

  • Cordoba Iberia C7-CE Guitar - Wow!

    As reviewed by R. D. W. on 3/8/2011

I had heard of the Cordoba guitar reputation and had always heard good things. I received my C7-CE (Cedar top) today and Cordoba's reputation is proven for me. I am well pleased with the quality of craftsmanship and the quality of sound. It plays "easy" and its beautiful sound is a delight to hear with or without an amplifier. The Fishman Presys preamp system is a great addition. I like having the ability to blend the guitar's acoustic mic with the saddle pickup signal. This gives a lot of control for selecting the sound of the guitar for any particular style of music I'm playing. The action is set just right for my playing style and the neck is absolutely straight so all pitches are true all the way to the top of the fingerboard. Never a buzz! For its price range, I feel I received more than my money's worth. Great guitar - I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a quality guitar in this price range.

  • Beautiful, high quality classical at affordable price

As reviewed by William Brough on 11/7/2011

I bought a Cordoba C7 about a year ago and, despite owning several electrics and acoustics, it quickly became my favorite guitar. In fact, I was casually looking to upgrade my rather cheap, old Ventura classical guitar and was just browsing when I discovered the C7 at Guitar Center and fell instantly in love with it. I bought it on the spot, which is impulsive and not like me--it's the only time I ever purchased a guitar that I didn't shop and compare and plan for months. I loved the cedar top with the Indian rosewood back and sides, and the gorgeous wood inlays all over it. It wasn't expensive, but it didn't look cheap. A special touch was the hardware for the tuners, which had that unique black-on-gold embossing on them, and the one-of-a-kind ebony tuning buttons. You wouldn't expect touches that nice on guitar at that price! But once I learned a few nice classical pieces that I wanted to include in my live set, I realized I wanted a classical guitar I could plug into the PA, so I reluctantly put the C7 up for sale and bought a Cordoba C7-CE. The cutaway is helpful, and of course the Fishman pickup with EQ and onboard tuner makes it a very functional guitar, but I do think it gave up a little in tone over the standard C7. It's not quite as warm, although the action and playability are as good as ever. So I give it 4 out of 5 stars, although my old C7 would have been a perfect 5.
