  Remember back in the day when it was a thrill just to go to a store and find something distinctly different from everything else? That?s how I felt when I purchased the Cordoba CM20 Ukulele. I previously had purchased a Lanikai soprano ukulele, but was looking to purchase a concert size ukulele after testing a few out in a ukulele class. I noticed it was easier to play with more room on a longer fret board. Of course, since I?m still learning, I didn?t want to purchase anything over $200.00 (if it could be avoided). The Cordoba was exactly the right price and I was surprised that it even comes with a really nice case. I had purchased a case from Amazon for my soprano ukulele and it?s nowhere near as nice and well padded/constructed. The Cordoba has a great rich sound and is made out of solid Mahogany which is more comparable to an orchestra class of instruments and makes my soprano ukulele feel like a cheap toy. Cordoba has a warranty and provides care instructions (which the Lanikai Ukulele did not come with). Once home, I checked out the online reviews of the CM20 and only found positive comments? If you?re looking for a concert ukulele it would be well worth your time checking this one out! ? Before any others...

  This uke is worth every dime and penny spent. If you are interested in the other Cordoba 15cm and want to spend a little more then here is the uke for you! The Solid Mahogany Top gives the sound more resonance and sustain. My word of advice is if you can try before you buy. There were two 20cms in My local GuitarCenter, and one sounded okay while the one i have just bought sounded like a dream. The tuners on this ukulele are fantastic, no signs of slipping. The finish of this ukulele is fantastic no signs of any bad workmanship. In the label it states " Hecho A Mano" meaning made by hand and I have to give it to Cordoba it really feels made by hand.The finish on the ukulele is a satin finish and in my opinon it lets the ukulele resonate more than a gloss finish. The action or the height of the strings is perfect. The strings that are stocked with the Cordoba are Aquilas and really give the ukulele more of a voice. The one thing that i kind of question is that it's a little heavy, not extremely heavy like a Mitchell ukulele but a solid feel. I have owned this Cordoba for hmm about a week and everyday she seems to be opening up. I would recommend this to a friend or family member but, warning them to try in store or ask the store to stock them to try out.

• Love My Litl' Uke

  I had wanted a uke for over a year. My darling wife bought me a Cordoba 20CM for our 36th anniversary last week while we were in Memphis,TN. Although there is a Guitar Center in Baton Rouge,LA.,where we're from; it was most memorable cause it was from Memphis. It was beautiful and sounded great. Plays easy for it's size. The 20CM comes with a deluxe Cordoba case which was very nice not to have too buy extra and it also keeps it protected. Thanks Cordoba for making such a wonderful instrument and thanks to Grant @ Memhis Guitar Center for his assistance in purchase. Allen Lee Turner (December 06, 2011)
