These classic Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers feature a black upper canvas with white rubber soles and white stitching. At first glance, the sneakers may look nicely laced up and tied in a bow. Upon taking a second look, you'll see the shoelaces are painted on! This 3-D effect calls to mind Trompe L'Oeil, a style of paintings that consists of an optical illusion so that the viewer sees the flat image in 3-D. Even the rubber toe is painted with pixilated dots, creating a fading look from the outside of the toe towards the inside.
