Swamp ash body with figured maple top. 5-piece wenge/purpleheart neck with purpleheart fretboard. Conklin active pickups with volume, blend, bass, and treble controls. 34" scale. 16" radius. Bolt-on neck.
I purchased this bass because of a friend who owned a custom conklin and the quality was top notch, so i thought i would trust the conklin name and buy a GT bass. This bass is great, but i wasn't able to play it through an amp or system till about a month after i bought it. As soon as i was able to perform with it i was quickly discouraged because the preamp was defective and making poping sounds through the system as if the 1/4" jack was being unplugged. The guitarcenter return policy won't cover it and the conklin distributor customer service sucks and aren't going to do anything about it. Bad experiance, wish i would have bought anything but a Conklin GT bass.
