Overview

Gauges: 10-14-24w-30-38-47.

Cleartone Coated Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings feature the Cleartone-patented EMP, Enhanced Molecular Protection. This technology makes Cleartone guitar strings unique. With a coating just 500 nanometers thick, Cleartone gives you unbelievable clarity, and your strings will last 3-5 times longer than a standard set. Since their introduction in 2005, Cleartone guitar strings have garnered rave reviews from beginners and industry professionals alike.

Super-high tension winding over a hex-core is used to maintain tuning consistency throughout performance duration. EMP Treatment is then applied to all the strings (including the plain strings) to ensure the longest tonal life without compromises.

Great sound and long lasting but do your homework!

Comments about Cleartone Coated Phosphor-Bronze Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I was changing phosphor bronze strings once a week because I liked the tone out of the box but they would get dull sounding within the week. I went to Elixir Nanoweb strings and they would last three weeks but it took them three to four days to set in and start sounding the way I liked. The Clear Tone strings gave me the sound I was looking for out of the box but they got better as the day progressed. I found the 11's gave me the tone and playability I wanted out of my dreadnaught but my Jumbo needed 12's to get the booming base I was used to. I can use a lighter touch while finger picking and get a loud clean sound from the CT's. The CT's do turn the ends of my fingers black after an hour of playing and that has never happened with the Elixir's. I put a set on my old Humingbird with the disastrous metal "Tune-O-Matic" bridge and the guitar tone came back from the dead. The Bird has a nice bright tone on top with a cool sounding base tone. I was going to replace the bridge with a synthetic but now I'm going to leave it alone. I am very happy with the Clear Tones even though they are a couple of dollars more per pack than the Nanoweb's. As with any change to your guitar set-up you may have to try a couple of sizes to get the tone you are wanting but that is true of any brand. Going too light on the string sizes without a torsion bar adjustment can be a disaster.

    Amazing strings

    By Sam

    from Los Angeles, California

Comments about Cleartone Coated Phosphor-Bronze Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I went to Sam Ash one day and asked for the best strings they had. Although that's not necessarily the smartest move, seeing as a good salesman would sell you the most expensive product; I bought these without hesitation and put them on my Epi Masterbilt AJ-500R, beautitul guitar by the way, and the sound was amazing. They lasted a long time and the sound they produced was increadible. My friend convinced me to try some kind of Elixer strings and when I put them on they were extremely tinny and just awful. These strings are worth the price. I've haven't been playing too long, only about 5 or 6 years, but I'm very picky about the sound of my guitars and these strings get me the sound I want.

    Best strings I ever got

    By Rick Shank

    from westalke ohio

Comments about Cleartone Coated Phosphor-Bronze Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I go these strings because I saw them as an ad in a guitar player magazine so i figured why not I put them on my acoustic squier which sounded really tinny with the standard strings so I put them on and my squier sounds like a million bucks! Anyways I recomend these strings to anyone and they last forever that is no joke my squier no longer sounds tinny. Buy these strings and you will be happy any one who calls these strings **** are crazy

I should have kept my original strings!

    By Ramon

    from Los Angeles,CA

Comments about Cleartone Coated Phosphor-Bronze Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I went a couple of days ago to buy new strings and they told me that these string had better tone and would last longer. As soon as I put these strings on my guitar, the tone just didn't sound right and now all the songs that I play just don't sound the same anymore. Its the worst $17 I've spent at Guitar Center and I hope its the the last time.
