Gauges - 45-65-85-105Medium Gauge Cleartone Coated Bass Strings are made of nickel-plated steel over a hex core. A unique treatment called EMP coats the entire string with an ultrathin protective film. It's the thinnest coating ever applied to bass strings (less than one micron!) and will withstand more abuse from hard strumming than coatings 1000 times thicker! EMP ensures longer string life by protecting strings from corrosion due to skin acidity, salt, and moisture without compromising feel and sound. Made in the USA.

  • Good strings.

    Last december I got me a warwick $$ bass but itlooks like this bass was played at the store andthe tone was a little dull then I went back to the store,I ask the sales person for a set of warwick strings but he told me that the store din't carry thos strings,then he mention to me of the cleartone emp strings I got me a set and I love it, I still like DR and Rotosound but Cleartone is #1.

    I have always been an Elixir guy when it came to strings. I like the brightness and the feel of those strings. I needed new strings considering that I had the same Elixir strings on for the eleven months and they still had a decent sound. I went to buy some new strings and I was recommended to try these new 'clear' tone strings. I bought them. I put them on my bass and for the first weeks they sounded clean, but then by the third week they started loosing their bright sound. I play at church with a five string five services a week, so I need strings that can keep up.

  • Nice strings

    I got these to put on a Ernie Ball Musicman 20th anniversary bass with an active pickup Played next to a 90's Ibanez with active EMG pickups with DR Hi Beams and Fender Jazz bass with ernie ball strings the Musicman was so much fuller, brighter and sounded awesome. Easy on my fingers too played longer.
