Clayton Sand Shark Acetal Grip Guitar Pick (110439)
Availability:

This guitar pick won't slip out of your hands!

The Sand Shark puts a sandy grip right where you need it--just where the shape of the shark is--allowing you to really choke up on the pick for intense playing power. Made with acetal/polymer, a unique material that produces clean overtones, fast release, and has a nonslip surface for sweat-soaked excursions.

These are good picks, i got the .38's and for how thin they are the dont break too esily, the sand grip is annoying at first but it wears down to fit your fingers, but however i liked these picks.

  • Amazing!!

These picks are great. The sand on them really adds traction for those fast riffs. The tone the picks supply along with the overall comfort really won me over. These are my new favorite picks....hands down

  • I want to like these, but...

I REALLY like the feel of these picks, and the sandy texture does a GREAT job keeping the pick in place. But there's a portion of the "sand" down at the shark's tail that snags on my high E-string when strumming. If you choke up on the pick it's not a problem, but I only do that when I'm playing lead riffs. When I strum I let more of the pick rake across the strings to get a more mellow sound. Unfortunately I had to stop using these because I was worried about breaking a string. I'd recommend trying them, especially if you tend to choke up on the pick a lot. But if you're a light strummer like me, be careful about that grit close to the tip of the pick. Also - these things run really heavy. Order a lighter gauge than you typically play. I usually play with heavier picks, but using this pick is like playing with a quarter :-)
