The Chauvet LED Techno Strobe RGB is a DMX-512 controllable, flash LED panel made up of highly efficient and super-bright colored LEDs. With a coverage area of 20' x 20' and features like blackout/static/dimmer/strobe, RGB color mixing with or without controller, an additional power output for daisy chaining units, and low power consumption, the LED Techno Strobe RGB is sure to impress you and your audience.
The LED Techno Strobe can operate in three modes: standalone, master/slave, and DMX-512 with 6 channels. Without a DMX controller, it can be operated as a single fixture or together with several other LED Techno Strobe RGB fixtures in master/slave mode. It's also linkable with the LED Techno Strobe and the LED Shadow in standalone mode. The DMX control mode lets you control each individual trait of the fixture and each fixture independently for the greatest flexibility when customizing or creating a show. There are built-in automated and sound-active programs for master/slave and DMX modes. In standalone mode, you can control the adjustable flash rate, dimmer, and static in standalone mode via dipswitches.

Narrow beam, long throw, incredibly versatile, compact, only uses 12watts of power, runs cool, feature rich... what more could you ask from a color wash/strobe fixture? Maybe that running all three colors at 100% would produce an even white illumination instead of powder blue in the center and light pink around the perimeter. If it weren't for this one flaw, this fixture would be the perfect DJ, stage or display color wash/strobe. If you do need even pure white illumination then consider it's sister, the Chauvet Techno Strobe (ST-3000LED) for the same price. There is also a black light version of this fixture. I don't know of any other fixture in this price range that does what the Chauvet Techno Strobe series can do. Chauvet does make an LED RGB fixture that will mix to a pure even white... but it's $1000 (Chauvet COLORado 3). So I'm very happy to overlook a little color imbalance to get everything else one enjoys with these Techno Strobes.
I bought 2 of these lights, and run them in master/slave. They are bright and vibrant. Very neat extra effects. If you want a white out of this , buy the white version.
we wanted to wash the back wall with alternating colors and a few strobe effects for our school musical. dasy chaining six techno strobes was as difficult as pushing in a plug. Nothing could be simpler. we used a small dmx box to control the effects. one of our sixth grade boys handled the whole thing. colors were vibrant and stood up to the stage lighting. we lit up a 12'x25' wall.
