Addendum

General information: Unit can be mounted in any position. We placed the light as high as possible on the tripod which made it difficult to reach the shutter control on top. We removed the bracket arm, removed two stops on the hub and replace the arm to invert the unit to an upside down position with the shutter control on the bottom. We then removed the four screws holding the control panel and inverted and replaced it putting the handle in the most convenient location. It is now easy to use in its elevated position high on the tripod. All is well.

Chauvet Followspot 400G with stand

It is what it says it is and does what it is supposed to do. The construction is good enough. I wouldn't drop it out of any windows but it's sturdy. The dimmer / brighter for the lamp is a little too fast but thats nitpicking. Intensity is OK as long as the stage lights are dimmed which is what would be done anyway. Good price. Nice tripod. Could use the wheels.
