I couldn't tell you how many lighting installs I've done with these dimmer packs. They are great workhorses. That being said, they don't stand up to being left on long-term at full output. 4 500W Par 64's left on for extended amounts of time will eventually degrade the pack and burn up a channel. If you plan to leave them on for long amounts of time, a 75% fade is good for not stressing the pack TOO much. That seems to make them last much, much longer. They're extremely easy to set up and can be easily added to your lighting rig in a matter of seconds. Good packs. Great price-point. Solid investment for any DMX rig.
We have deployed several of these now for use in our house of worship lighting system. The flexibility to configure these with one, two, or four addresses has been absolutely perfect for our needs. Not a moment's problem with them, either. You can buy and deploy this with confidence that you're getting a unit that is well worth the cost.
