Comments about Chauvet DJ Intimidator Scanner 305 IRC:
When hanging the CIS305 up-right and *level, the fixture will want to rotate what ever it is clamped onto. A truss will not rotate, it's made not to, but a portable tripod stand attachment bar will - because that bar is most likely just clamped in position and therefore not made to deal with torque loading. This is because the CIS305 bracket has a restricted range of operation that does allow the bracket to pass near or over the mirror housing. The Intimidator Scan 305 can be hung "inverted" or up-side-down and *level and the CIS305's control screen view and the pan and/or tilt settings allow for this position without reprogramming your DMX settings. Truss setups are not effected buy this condition provided you clamp properly. * Level in this case is the result of a DMX setting of 127 on the "Y" or Tilt Axis resulting in the alignment of the fixture's light beam with the natural horizon. If you have more than one scanner then they should be aligned as closely as possible with each other ands maximize their movement range potential.
