Cubix is a multicolored, LED centerpiece that combines two effects in one fixture. Centrally-mounted LEDs produce multicolored effects and animations that flow across the room while the quad-sided derby effect floods the dance floor with rotating, multicolored beams. Effects can be controlled independently to create custom light shows or simultaneously for a full out barrage of light. This six-channel DMX system includes 64 RGB and 2 tri-color LEDs.

I was excited to get this light. The two different effects is a great idea. My problem is this. The DMX control is limited with this fixture. It DOES NOT have Sound Active control via DMX. The only way this fixture can do sound active is manually setting on the fixture not giving you any DMX control in turning the fixture on and off. So matching the effects to your beats via DMX is NOT going to happen unless you manually adjust the control. Let me note that I use Chauvet ShowXpress to control all my lighting and is a great program. So unless you want to babysit this fixture and manually create scene after scene then put in timelines which won't give you much beat matching. You will have to run this fixture to a separate power control to turn on and off. If your just going to plug this fixture in and not use DMX then this is a great fixture! P.S. Another thing I would of liked to of seen in the dmx assignments was separate controls for each of the 4 derby effects individually. I believe each set has it's own led's. I didn't take the fixture apart to verify. I could see separate led's for each set looking into the fixture from the front. Being able to control the different colors for each of the four individually would made this fixture a win win hands down but sadly it doesn't.
