Comments about Celestion BL15-400X 15" 400W 8ohm Ceramic Bass Replacement Speaker:

This speaker has a tight low end rumble. It is really excellent, much better than I expected.

Comments about Celestion BL15-400X 15" 400W 8ohm Ceramic Bass Replacement Speaker:

Playing bass since 1975. Been through a lot of Bass amps and guitars. Out of all of these amps, I finally settled with Ampeg. Ampeg Always impressed me with Bass Tones. Thing is, I had this Crate BX-160 with a 15" EV and I had to change it right away, so I went with Celestion Bass Guitar 15" ( BL15-300 ). I still have that amp since 1989 and the speaker has been through some rough times but it always worked and had the best tone for small shows. So I switched my Ampeg 15" to the BL15-400. Now, I have that great Bass tones in the big rig. Trust me, there is a difference. I hear the punch, wood and harmonics out of my Bass that I did not get with the Eminence. The Celestion brings out mid tones smoothly and they compliment the Lows and highs. If your looking to just blow out windows with super rumble, this is not for you. But if you want smooth tight bottom end with very controllable mids and highs, this speaker will do that. I highly recommend this speaker to seasoned Bass players who want great tone and keep some punchy bottom end that's tight. Maybe I should have said: Gut, Chest sweet ring.
