I've had some cabs in the past that just didn't have "it" and I wasn't sure why. They just didn't have that sound I wanted. It was a warm, thick-but-pure sound with a tight bottom end and smooth mids and highs. Once I bought a cab loaded with Vintage 30's, I realized that I'd found "it." I won't touch a cab that isn't loaded with these babies anymore. If you're looking for "it," then look no further.

The Celestion Vintage 30 speakers have a nice FAT magnet that doesn't saturate quickly so the speakers response curve stays consistent even at high volume levels. They have a really nice balanced Midrange, solid low end and highs that are never shrill or "brittle" sounding. Just pop four of these into a Marshall 1960A or 1960B cabinet and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Put this in an Egnater 1x12 cab stacked with another Egnater 1x12 with stock Celestion Elite 80. Wow! This speaker is very revealing, and has added a wonderful balance and definition to the other Celestion cab. Never read a bad review on this speaker, and now I know why. Well worth the money!

I have a limited editon Fender hot rod deluxe that came with one of these in it. Compared to other hot rod deluxes it brightens it up alot. I also just got a twin reverb and the guy before me put these in it and they sound pretty good too. (They are 60 watt a peice and its an 85 watt amp, but its fine because its running parallel so each speaker only gets half the wattage). They break up a little more than the jensens, but for some sounds its good. Overall these are really nice speakers!

I bought these after playing through many amps running through Vintage 30s are Guitar Center. I must say these are perhaps the best speakers in the world for hard rock and metal. I put them in my Crate 4x12 cabinet and my sound changed majorly for the better. Unfortunately I think that I should find a new cabinet to put them in because sometimes my sound gets muddy even when I do not have the gain and bass maxed. But these are awesome speakers and I recommend them to everyone playing rock, hard rock, or metal.
