  • Best Speaker for the Price!

As reviewed by Cguitarist on 1/31/2011

I bought a custom cabinet , but it came without a speaker. Since it already cost about $200, I didn't have too much money to spend after, so I looked around for cheap speakers. Once I saw this, I bought it immediately, and when I received it, I wasn't disappointed. It's exactly what it sets out to be: an even, all around good speaker with a very low price. Is it the best? Nope, but it's a great speaker to start out with for empty cabinets or replacing bad stock speakers if you have no money at the time. If you have the money to spend, get the G12M-12, Vintage 30, or G12H 30 (70th Anniversary).

  • Nice inexpensive speaker

As reviewed by Jason on 10/20/2006

I bought a Celestion Rocket 50 to use in conjunction with my Epiphone Valve Jr. it is exactly what it purports to be a solid, inexpensive guitar speaker. It is very well balanced..not extremely bassy or trebly and gets nice break-up at higher volumes. It is not as complex with overtones as,say a vintage 30, but it is also much less expensive. As far as build quality, it's a Celestion..no need to say more.
