I've tried several different Celestion speakers in my 60W Soldano high gain, channel switching combo amp. The Vintage 30 is too aggressive in the upper mids, G12T75 lacks bottom in an open-back combo, the Classic Lead sounds too sterile, but the G12T100 is just right. It has plenty of sparkle for the clean channel, yet it sounds smooth on the lead channel. It has enough bass to sound full without ever being boomy. There's also that nice british crunch when pushed in high gain mode. It's an all around winner that I would recommend for any high gain combo amp.
