Since 1980, when Casio released their Casiotone keyboard, they've produced numerous models that offer popular features but are still budget friendly. This package contains the Casio Privia PX-120, a 88-key instrument with weighted, hammer-action keys, 128-note polyphony, MIDI I/O, and more. It also comes with a bench and stand, so all you need to do is find a spot you feel comfortably playing in, plug in, and start enjoying your new digital keyboard.

The Casio Privia PX-120
The Casio Privia PX-120 boasts 88 weighted, hammer-action piano keys, advanced triple-strike AIF sampled sound source, and 128-note polyphony, yet it weighs only 25 pounds! Full damper expression control lets you play sweeping chords on the Casio PX-120 with true acoustic-piano playing feel. Four different reverbs and four different chorus effects give you a lot of flexibility to experiment with your sound. 20 built-in piano rhythms with drum sounds provide accompaniment to your playing. This Casio keyboard is also great for lessons with its split keyboard functionality and dual headphone inputs, the Casio Privia Keyboard is as versatile as it is portable.

Tonal flexibility:
With eight onboard digital effects including four different reverbs, and four different choruses, the PX-120 offers a lot of sonic flexibility. Plus, two grand piano settings offer even more possibilities - you can choose between "classic" for a softer, more discreet sound, or "modern" for a lighter, brighter character. Built-in DSP effects digitally reproduce a high-quality grand piano sound, complete with reverb and acoustic resonance.

Portable design:
At 26 lbs, the PX-120 is definitely easy to carry from home to lessons to rehearsals and back. Yet, it packs features that make it a great unit for your studio or practice space. A powerful 2-way speaker system boasts four speakers, meaning you don't need to plug the PX-120 into a computer in order to produce sound. But if you do want to record your piano parts, or even control a virtual instrument with the PX-120's excellent weighted hammer-action keyboard, you can connect it to your computer via MIDI and you're ready to work inside any of your favorite DAWs.

Great for lessons:
While the PX-120 is great for recording musicians, it also makes an excellent digital piano for educational settings. You can split the keyboard area in half so that both teacher and student can play the same notes at the same time on their respective sides. A convenient metronome is built-in, and dual headphone jacks also make the PX-120 keyboard convenient for practice and rehearsal settings anywhere, anytime. Its hammer-action keyboard with a feel and response that's modeled after true acoustic pianos makes it a great, affordable digital piano for students to practice on before moving to an acoustic piano.

A Great Digital Piano!

By The Piano Master

from Fernley, NV

Comments about Casio PX-120 Package:

This digital piano is one of the best in its league! It has all 88 keys, like on an acoustic piano, and hammer action, like on an acoustic piano. It has 60 built in songs that you can learn with the music book it comes with. But, the songs are difficult, so a beginner or early intermediate piano player shouldn't go picking around with the songs. Also, the package comes with a stand and a bench, so you don't have to go out and buy any stands or benches for it. Some other cool things about this amazing digital piano is that it has lots of built in rythms, a layer feature,a recording feature, plenty of instrument voices, a duet mode, and two grand piano sounds. It also comes with a sustain pedal, but you should buy a sustain pedal that actually looks like the real thing because it doesn't move when you press the pedal, it feels like a real acoustic piano's sustain pedal, and it looks nice. That's what I did. Another great thing about this digital piano is that it isn't that expensive. It can serve as a replacement for an acoustic piano if you can't afford an acoustic piano, like me. But, I don't perform on it. I just learn my songs on it and practice with it, I perform on the acoustic piano at my school. So, if you want a great digital piano in an affordable package, this is perfect for you. So, I hope this review helps you. See ya!

Great for the price

Comments about Casio PX-120 Package:

I played the PX-310 for my church before I finally decided to invest in a digital piano for myself. The only difference I find between the 310 and the 120 is the buttons and the screen. I'm sure there are more things about it, but things like transposing and other functions like that are still on the 120. I LOVE the keyboard!!

Worth the Money

By Whitney Lyman

from Seattle, WA

Comments about Casio PX-120 Package:

I love the way this keyboard sounds and feels realistic, as well as the fact that it's light and easy to transport to gigs and back home. The biggest drawback though is that it doesn't have a 1/4-inch headphone jack. (It only has two 1/8-inch jacks) This is kind of a big problem for my gigs because the only way to hook up to the PA system is to bring a 1/4 to 1/8 jack adapter and I lose sound quality that way. But except for that fact, I don't think you'll get as good a product for the money.
