Highly portable 88-key tri-sensor hammer action keyboard with a powerful piano sound.

Casio's Privia PX-150 represents a significant step in the continuing evolution of the Privia digital piano line. A combination of a new keyboard action and a powerful new sound engine provide a new level of detail, nuance and expression for a superior grand piano experience in the lightweight and stylish design that Privia is known for.

Piano Sound
The award-winning grand piano sound in Privia has been dramatically improved. The PX-150 utilizes more than three times the memory of the previous generation for a more natural piano tone. In addition, Casio's new proprietary sound source "AiR" (Acoustic and intelligent Resonator) provides unmatched realism and detail. This engine provides seamless dynamics for a remarkably expressive and powerful performance. For further realism a new Damper Resonance simulator provides the rich sound of the strings when the sustain pedal is used.

Key Action
The new PX-150 also features a redesigned 88-note Tri-sensor scaled hammer action keyboard. This new action features a simulated ebony and ivory textured keys for a incredible feel and its three sensors capture the dynamics of a performance with unparalleled speed and accuracy. To further enhance the experience, the action and the sound engine take into consideration the speed at which different sized hammers move inside acoustic grand relative to velocity the keys are pressed, this timing nuance provides the ultimate key to sound experience.

Powerful Features
In additional to grand piano, the PX-150 has many other instrument tones including strings, organs, electric pianos and bass. The PX-150 provides split and layer capability allowing you to play bass in your left hand and have two layered tones in your right. Duet mode allows splits the keyboard into two equal ranges, allowing student and teacher to use the piano simultaneously. A two track recorder can even record and playback your practice and performances.

Casio continues the tradition or providing class-compliant USB connectivity on Privia digital pianos. • Amazing piano!

As reviewed by Jonathan Turek on 2/27/2014

First I'd like to start by saying I walked into Guitar Center in Crestwood today thinking that I was going to pay $499.99 for this piano but much to my surprise they had an in store President's Day sale and I got it for a sensational 419.99! Considering the superb quality of this keyboard that was definitely a steal. The weighted keys are a great feature to give it a realistic acoustic piano feel. Whether you're playing through the speakers or with headphones you will not be disappointed with the crystal clear sound. The guys at Crestwood were very friendly and even helped me load everything up in my car. Compared to the Yamaha's I tested the Casio Privia series is hands down a better piano in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone no matter what your skill level.

  • Excellent Value

As reviewed by Tiffany Hollowell on 9/11/2013

I must begin by informing you that I am a complete novice and purchased this because my daughter recently started piano lessons. Her teacher informed us that she would need something to practice on and requested the keyboard have the graded hammer action. Again, with such a big purchase I wanted to be sure so continued researching and began to seriously consider the Casio Privia line. The more reviews I found tended to favor the Casio due to the realistic piano keys, plus it had the other features that were important to use for my daughter's playing. I finally made the decision that the Casio made the most sense as it was $100 cheaper than the Yamaha P105 and was winning the review war as well. We made the purchase and it arrived in record time (we live overseas) and has been a joy to have. I cannot really compare with other instruments from my own experience, but we are very happy with it. It does not have a lot of features to distract her, yet provides a beautiful sound in my opinion. For the money, I don't think you can do better. This particular piano has the features that will allow my daughter to use it for years to come.

I love my Casio Privia. It's got a great weighted action- especially for the price. I had a Williams Rhapsody, but I like this much better. Very portable and versatile. I would recommend it to anyone!
