Ultra-lightweight 88-key digital piano makes it easy to move your music!

The Casio Privia PX-120 boasts 88 weighted, hammer-action keys, advanced triple-strike AIF sampled sound source, and 128-note polyphony, yet it weighs only 25 pounds! Full damper expression control lets you play sweeping chords on the Casio PX-120 with true acoustic-piano playing feel. Four reverbs and four chorus effects give you a lot of flexibility to experiment with your sound. 20 built-in piano rhythms with drum sounds provide accompaniment. Also great for lessons with its split keyboard functionality and dual headphone inputs, the Casio Privia PX-120 is as versatile as it is portable!Tonal flexibility:With eight onboard digital effects including four different reverbs, and four different choruses, the PX-120 offers a lot of sonic flexibility. Plus, two grand piano settings offer even more possibilities - you can choose between "classic" for a softer, more discreet sound, or "modern" for a lighter, brighter character. Built-in DSP effects digitally reproduce a high-quality grand piano sound, complete with reverb and acoustic resonance.Portable design:At 25 lbs, the PX-120 is definitely easy to carry from home to lessons to rehearsals and back. Yet, it packs features that make it a great unit for your studio or practice space. A powerful 2-way speaker system boasts four speakers, meaning you don't need to plug the PX-120 into a computer in order to produce sound. But if you do want to record your piano parts, or even control a virtual instrument with the PX-120's excellent weighted hammer-action keyboard, you can connect it to your computer via MIDI and you're ready to work inside any of your favorite DAWs.Great for lessons:While the PX-120 is great for recording musicians, it also makes an excellent digital piano for educational settings. You can split the keyboard area in half so that both teacher and student can play the same notes at the same time on their respective sides. A convenient metronome is built-in, and dual headphone jacks also make the PX-120 convenient for practice and rehearsal settings anywhere, anytime. Its hammer-action keyboard with a feel and response that's modeled after true acoustic pianos makes it a great, affordable digital piano for students to practice on before moving to an acoustic piano.

  • Great value for solo piano

As reviewed by Michael on 9/12/2009

I bought the CASIO PX120 digital piano in Sep 2008 after a lot of research. This was my best choice for a great piano feel (graded hammer action). I only wanted it to play solo piano and no other sounds or styles. It is a great buy for what I required.

  • Great for a piano feel

As reviewed by Raven on 7/23/2008

I love this product. I was excited when i opened the box. The first thing that I noticed were the beautiful 88 keys. But, it is surprisingly light for an 88 keyboard. It feels great. I have put it through its paces with some Mozart and Beethoven. It is responsive and it lets you play soft or hard and everything in between. I haven't tried the drum accompaniment. I can't wait to try it.

  • Great!

As reviewed by Hobbyist on 5/28/2008

I bought the Casio PX-120 because I was looking for a 88-key, light-weight digital keyboard. The keys feel like a regular piano and the features are nice, though I haven't done too much with them. The only drawback is the 'modern' piano setting has a bit of a reverb I don't like.
