Very Disappointed

By Dennis

from Sugar Grove, IL

Comments about Cakewalk UA-1G USB Audio Interface:

I purchased the Cakewalk software Guitar Tracks 4 and the audio interface UA-1G. I loaded this onto my new laptop running with Windows 7 without a problem.Bundled with the Guitar Tracks software was a product called Guitar Rig 3, which provides an unlimited number of custom sounds. I could not get Guitar Rig to work at all and contacted their tech support. They sent me back to Cakewalk who provided the audio interface. Their support was able to get Guitar Rig to work somewhat in their software, but couldn't help me with getting everything to work as promoted.

But for the manual...

By Warren Sanford

from Sacramento, California

Comments about Cakewalk UA-1G USB Audio Interface:

The Cakewalk UA-1G works as advertised...I do have a peeve or two however... why is it not already windows 7 ready? Why are you forcing us to hunt for the drivers? What could it have possibly saved Roland NOT to include a basics manual-in print-for Sonar LE-along with the disc-maybe 80 cents? If you have no experience with Sonar but have used something else-(pro tools for example)the help files look like Japanese-and dont include screen shots- There are some tutorial videos on YouTube-why are you hiding them? What could it have saved you by not including them ON THE DISC-and potentially turning me off upgrading this? It seems counter productive...Having said all that-it worked perfectly the first time...once I got the right drivers downloaded and brushed up on my Japanese. Oh, but for the manual-this would have gotten an A++-its a B...

Not FULL duplex in 96K mode

By cj

from City of Angels

Comments about Cakewalk UA-1G USB Audio Interface:

This review is only about the 96K mode. In 48K & under it is 100% bueno-licious! But in 96K record-ability this unit is NOT full-duplex! Meaning you CANNOT Play & Record at the same time. You can Play, but you cannot Record. You can Record, but you cannot Play. Huh? Why would you Record then NOT Play? In 96k mode this unit cannot bring to you the full monty. If you need true 96K Audio IN/OUT simultaneously then better to get the 24/96 PCI from m-audio.

Works as advertised

By Javadude

from Tracy, CA

Comments about Cakewalk UA-1G USB Audio Interface:

Pros: Allows me to play several audio tracks at once while recording using ASIO drivers with 6.5 ms latency. Cons: I can't connect my Digitech RP350 via USB while using the UA-1G because of my motherboard's USB bandwidth limitations.
