I was looking for a nice DAC / Headphone amp to use with my laptop. The CEntrance came highly recommended and has not disappointed. The thing is built like a tank - rock solid - and performs flawlessly. No special software required with my MacBook - just plug and play through the USB. Only change was opening up the computers pass through bit stream to take advantage of the capabilities of the MiniDAC's DAC section.
It brought my headphones - Sennheiser HD800's - to a whole new level.
I recommend it highly to others, as it was recommended to me.
The price via Guitar Center was same as everywhere else, but I had a coupon for being a good customer and part of their on line reviewing program that saved me more than the cost of shipping and tax.
