  • Great Condenser Mic!

As reviewed by Henry Pham on 5/15/2009

This is a phenomenal mic. First time using it i didn't expect the quality that i got out of it. For the price that it is offered, its a great deal. I would recommend this mic to anyone who wants to start recording music at home.

  • Way better than planned

As reviewed by Nathan on 10/26/2009

I really love this mic. I bought it just so I could record my demos, (Guitar, bass, drums, and vocals) and it works great for everything. It picks up a little to much with the drums, being so loud and all, but sounds good if you play softer. it also has no noise, or fuzz. and it really is plug and play. i had to go to Control panel/ sound speech and audio devices/sounds and audio devices/ audio to get my speakers to play what I recorded, but who cares. I really like this mic, it has great sound and picks up the right amount. I would really get it if you're thinking about it.

  • Someone That Knows

As reviewed by Corey Acid on 1/18/2011

EXACT DETAILS. i purchased this mic on New Years Eve, right before 2010. So ive owned it for about a year now. ive done about 400 musical projects with this mic. This mic is good, but only good to a certain point. but one thing YOU CANNOT DO: you cant buy a mic, use it for the first few times, and call it a good mic. i have to rate this mic in every area. "10 meaning best, 1 meaning worst" QUALITY= 4. why? because this mic doesnt reallly gives vocals a good warm studio sound like what everybody says. RELIABILITY = 8. why? because you can acually take this mic anywhere you want to go without the hassle of hooking up extra hardware (preamps, mixers, interface ext.) DURABILITY = 6. why? well the mic clip, the part where the mic connects to the stand, well that lil circle thing isnt too helpful after owning this thing for a year, and for it to be a USB mic, then i think it should have been made for traveling and being tossed around becuase of the flexibility of it. then after using it for a year, i noticed that the screens can easily pop off (even though mine havent). the quality of the sound decreases after a while. you wont be able to notice, until you gain THE-EAR-FOR-QUALITY. FEEL = 4. why? well it doesnt look attractive in any way, it feels and looks like something you can buy from Toys R Us. FLEXIBILITY = 5. why? well eventhough u can podcast, record on-the-go, and hook it up to a computer easily, doesnt mean its flexible. since its a USB mic, you cant upgrade the quality. i mean its a great mic, but you get what you pay for. if all you have is $70, and thats all you want to spend on a mic, then get it. this mic really helped me out on giving me the name "THE STUDIO MAN". but its time to upgrade. and one thing you dont do... dont upgrade a USB mic for another USB mic, or you'll run into the same problems you had with the other one and ur gunna want to reupgrade. Good for starters, but use it for a year, and tell me what u think. OH AND ONE MORE THING... I TRY TO MONITOR MY VOCALS WHEN I RECORD, AND THE MIC GIVES ME THIS LITTLE ECHO, TO WEAR I THINK IM TALKING SLOW. and sometimes when i record with the mic volume high, the mic smells like a burned out car amp. so dont record your vocals with the volume up too high or this thing will easily blow out on you.
