Overview

The 15W Bugera BC15 Vintage guitar amp says "retro" better than almost any other combo amp out there. From its vintage styling-which harkens back to the golden age of tube design-to its dual-channel, 12AX7-fueled preamp, this little 1x8 time machine instantly transports your tone to the land of bliss.

Add a master Volume control and 2-band EQ with mid SHIFT switch, and a solid 15W RMS at your disposal, and the BC15 amp is ideal for rehearsal, home or professional recording studios, and even for small gigs. For more demanding performances, just stick a mic in front of the vintage tuned 8" Bugera speaker and give 'em a taste of real-tube tone.

Just like Bugera's high-powered flagship amps, the Bugera BC15 is all about guitar tone. There's a hand-selected 12AX7 tube inside the BC15, giving this little brute its bite. But the Bugera BC15 isn't just a one-trick pony. Selecting the Gain button activates the Bugera amp's Lead/Distortion channel, launching you into sweet tube-soaked overdrive. EQ duties are handled by Bass and Treble controls which-when used in conjunction with the midrange shift button-provide tons of tone-sculpting options.

Even though the Bugera BC15 has vintage styling reminiscent of amplifiers from the '50s and '60s, the little combo also boasts some very modern extras. A 1/4" TRS jack provides a connection for external playback devices, such as a CD player, tape deck, iPod, and others, allowing you to jam with your favorite songs. If it's late and the urge to play suddenly strikes, just plug some headphones into your BC15 and you won't have to worry about waking the kids or bothering the neighbors. You won't find features like these on your granddad's amp!

All this tone and functionality comes in an extremely portable, lightweight package-and because it's built like a tank, the Bugera BC15 amplifier takes whatever life dishes out, from one gig to the next. Before you spend far too much of your hard-earned cash, you owe it to yourself to give the Bugera BC15 Vintage guitar amp a listen.

    Baby Got Clean

    By Harold Penson

    from South Amboy

Comments about Bugera BC15 15W 1x8 Vintage Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Which is why I bought it. I'm probably obsessed with clean tone, and after playing for a couple of months with Bugera's V5 I just had to know what they offered for half the price. And that is part of my mission, to keep my perspective of the price point of this amp. There are a few others at this price point but none in my experience have targeted clean tone as an important marketing feature. So I plugged my Tele in and was not disappointed. While it does not have the depth and warmth of my V5 it does a very respectable job and does so for half the price. And while its not likely to replace my V5 or Vyper it will get plenty of play time in my living room. And this amp does have a nice feature set as well as the ability to growl-at lower volumes. What more can be reasonably expected from a $100 tube amp? Now I've compared this amp to its more expensive and more capable cousin too many times already. My conclusion is this amp is great value and it shouldn't surprise anyone if there are more Bugera reviews posted by this user.

    Great Tone, Poor Construction

    By Danny Petrella

    from Arlington, VA

Comments about Bugera BC15 15W 1x8 Vintage Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I needed a practice amp that wouldn't shake my house the way my Fender HRD does (though that's fun too). Well, this little guy didn't shake the house, but did vibrate and buzz horribly with the volume at 10:00 o'clock or above. Also, the vinyl was poorly applied and looked nothing like clean finish in the picture. Sending it back . . . not sure if I want to try again with a replacement or move up a level to the V5. With all that said, the tone was great and the possibilities with this amp were virtually endless, particularly for an amp this price. If I could get one with better construction, this amp is a no-brainer.

    Beauty and Beast!

    By Rafael Rosa

    from Sorocaba, SP, Brazil

Comments about Bugera BC15 15W 1x8 Vintage Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

Bugera made it one of the most starring looking amps the vintage style could match. A small, lightweight, yet walls' shaking tube machine. Behringer has just created a new classic. Very impressive feedback from the valve, plugged both to Gibson and Fender guitars, go back to 70's and feel the real tube vibration! Very satisfied, actually in love, strongly recommend it!

Comments about Bugera BC15 15W 1x8 Vintage Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

First Impression was WOW. I didn't expect the sound was that nice for the little amp like this. Low wattage yet so powerful. Two thumbs up. GC is the best.

    Little Beast

    By Mario

    from Valley Glen CA

Comments about Bugera BC15 15W 1x8 Vintage Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I'm surprised nobody has done a review on this. This amp sounds and looks great. This amp has a great tube sound with the 12AX7 preamp and boy is it loud. The clean sound is great and the overdrive with the shift button is excellent for classic rock. For heavy metal, I run this through a Digitech RP255 and I get endless tonal capabilities. I recommend this over any solid state amp.
