Overview

The 333XL is the big brother to Bugera's 333 Series, but with four key additions:

Overall active Presence control

EL34 power tubes for a more compressed, tighter midrange

Noise gate on Lead channel
This is an analog gate that will never close or shut you off in a clean passage. It is frequency selected to decrease high frequency noise and hiss without changing your tone and it works loads better than a lot of competitors™ gates.

XL switch on Crunch and Lead channels
The XL function will add more œchunk to your sound. You can add some thunder to the combo version to more closely emulate a 412 cab, thicken the sound of single-coil pickups or add sustain to single-note melodic passages.

After that, this design is much like the 333 with three fully independent channels: A totally Clean channel that won™t break up, a Crunch channel for a "halfway dirty" rock and blues tone (or crank the gain for a metal rhythm tone), and a Lead channel with the same structure as the Crunch channel but with access to more gain.

This is a closeout model, and does not feature Infinium technology.

Price CANNOT Be Beat!

By

from Lancaster, PA

I've always been a big fan of Mesa Rectifiers, but there's no way I was ever gonna afford it. So I went into a heavy research-driven results for price versus quality. And then I stumbled upon this amp. I bought one without playing it in person, and boy was I happy. Out of the box it sounded absolutely gorgeous. While the cleans aren't a Fender clean, for as much power it has the cleans are beautiful. The crunch channel can put out so much gain and distortion it could compete with a few high gain amps itself. The Lead channel is brutal. Scoop the mids and you get a beautiful BFMV-esque sound, push it and you can get a full sounding distortion that competes with amps that cost another thousand dollars. The reverb, while not pedal quality, get's the job done for built-in amp quality. The included noise-gate definitely has a noticeable effect, but as expected doesn't match the quality of a pedal. And it is LOUD. Overall, for the price, this amp can compete with top of the line amps and I would strongly suggest it OVER expensive amps solely for saving so much money.

By

from port arthur texas

i've owned many amps. marshall jcm's, mesa, crate, peavey and this head for the price cant be beat. yes, a mesa dual rec is a real bad boy and a jcm 900 w/ a ts9 isn't bad either, but this head is not far behind if at all and no pedals. just straight head!!!! to me its a no brainer!!!!! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.
