The British Invasion was about more than just the music. It really put the band as we know it today on the map. Although some artists wrote their own music up through the ‘60s, most were singers who performed material provided by their record companies. The groups from the U.K. performed their own material, inspiring others to do the same. Now it is hard to separate the artists who came later in folk, punk, rap and other styles from the music they write.
The gear of the British Invasion includes names that are as legendary today as ever. Fender, Gibson, Epiphone and Rickenbacker from the U.S., Marshall and Orange amplifiers from England, and Hofner from Germany are all still going strong. And, at Guitar Center, you can find them all in one place.
