Overview

Breedlove's Northwest Classic introduced the guitar world to the amazing tonal properties of myrtlewood. Found only in Oregon's coastal ranges, myrtlewood exhibits both the deep bass of rosewood and the ringing treble of maple. Best stage guitar ever!

By V. Bradley

from CA

Comments about Breedlove Northwest Classic Acoustic Guitar:

I went to GC to buy strings and 30 minutes later, I popped for this amazing guitar. I own two Martins '34 000-18, a '29 2-17, various Gibson, Guild, etc. and this guitar is the best out of the box guitar I have owned. Clean and balanced, I dumped my stage eq pre-amp etc and plug directly into either my SWR Calif Blonde or Fishman LOUD BOX 100 with all eqs flat and this guitar sounds perfect. The neck is butter and the tone realistic and full. If I ever need another acoustic, I'm going Breedlove. I play lead/rhythm in a variety of context from loud electric bands, to solo work and it never fails to cut thru with great tone and performance. Try one.

Beautiful Guitar

By M

from NY

Comments about Breedlove Northwest Classic Acoustic Guitar:

Every time I pick up this guitar it feels as though a lot of TLC went into its creation. The craftmanship is outstanding and the sound is beautiful. I have to agree that the tone from the Myrtlewood is somwhere between Rosewood and Maple, hovering closer to the Maple spectrum. There is much clarity and warmth offered by this instrument. The neck is extremely comfortable to play (one of the key reasons for my selection). I am just a weekend player and probably spent a little bit more than I originally budgeted but am very pleased with my purchase.

Best acoustic I've ever heard

By Steve Wilmert

from Victorville, CA

Comments about Breedlove Northwest Classic Acoustic Guitar:

My search is finally over. This guitar is the greatest combination of warmth and clarity I've ever heard. After a month, all I want to do is pick it up more and more. The Breedlove Northwest is a bit pricey and is worth every penny. I've had a 514ce, 615ce, Koa T5, and a Martin . . . I may never pick up anything but a Breedlove again.
