When I first noticed this guitar it looked great and yes I walked right past it and picked up all of the Mid ranged priced Martin's and Taylors in the store. I really felt torn and was sure I would regret buying either one. When you are paying that kind of money for a guitar you don't want that feeling. I picked up the Breedlove just to see what it was all about and I fell in love. Honestly played better than any Martin or Taylor twice its price.

I bought this guitar for recording and playing live. I was so happy to get it! After a lot of research I thought wow, this is the one. It truly is a really nice guitar. Sadly to say after about six months of having it a buzzing noise started happening when i would strum it. I went to guitar canter and they put in a bridge doctor.(which i had to pay for but i had no problem doing so cause i loved it) but the noise came back. They ended up offering me another one that they had in the store but that had a little buzz too. Listen closely; if your thinking about getting one, save up two hun more and get a Martin performing artist series gutiar. guitar center was helpful in crediting be the value for the breedlove and cutting me a deal on the Martin. I was sad to get ride of the Breadlove but the Martin is better.

No Competition

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Try this guitar before you buy anything else. I bought this guitar a year ago and it is the best I have played in its price range and in above price ranges. When looking for an acoustic guitar I tried Taylors and Martins, but just wasn't impressed with any of them. When I was about to settle for a Taylor a guy handed me this Breedlove. I hadn't been familiar with Breedloves but the sound, pickup, and action beat any of the other guitars I was considering and blew me away. The rosewood really brings out the deep tones and adds a clarity to the high notes. Also, it's pretty darn good lookin'. You definitely get a well crafted guitar for a great deal.

This guitar is better than what i expected.

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

At first, my plan was to get a taylor but then i moved on to the martins and gibsons but i didnt like neither of them because of the price range and because i wanted an electric acoustic guitar. Then i saw this breedlove and it felt so comfortable. The sound was just perfect for me. I think that breedlove is very underated because its not as popular but their guitars are high quality for a cheap price. Id go for this than a martin or taylor at the same price and even higher.

True love

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

If u are into names that everyone knows get a Martin or a Taylor. If you want a guitar that will turn heads in sound, looks, and build quality than a Breedlove is for you. I never sat this guitar back down after playing it. Worth every penny at msrp, a great deal at retail and a steal for the sale price I got it at.

Outstanding guitar and customer service

By Chris

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

In this price range, I don't think you can find a better sounding guitar. I am very impressed with the fullness of the sound as well as the playability of this guitar. It also records really well. I have a Fender Acoustasonic Amp and Tascam DP01 recorder and I am really impressed with the recording quality of the guitar. Also, Breedlove's customer service is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I originally had an AD25/SR Model and the wood piece that holds the strings in place split a little over a year after I bought the guitar (warranty expired). Breedlove took the guitar back and gave me a brand new Stage D25/SR in less than 2 weeks after I sent my old guitar in. I will definitely be a customer for life!

Masterpiece

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I went into GC looking for a Mid ranged Martin or Taylor as my "wedding present". I played every Martin and Taylor they had hanging. I kept walking right past this beauty because I was looking for Name only! Finally my Fiance asked me to try that one cause it "Looks pretty". I picked it up and fell in love! The sound blows away any of the Martin and Taylors in it's price range and played just as well as the Gibson Hummingbird i had messed with. This guitar is unbelievable and would trade for any other!!

Perfect right out of the box...

By Gregg

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was really uncertain on my decision between Taylor and Breedlove. Well that is till i took a closer look between the two. for $1000.00 I got a built in tuner,eq,beautifull neck inlay work ,gloss finish, hardshell case . I ordered my Breedlove Atlas D25/SR and was completely amazed when i received it. First off it was VERY well packaged. i opened it up and it was absolutely PERFECT out of the box. The action was perfectly low . NO BUZZ anywhere. Just simply BEAUTIFULL! Im a very picky guitar buyer and Im a Breedlove customer for life now. Im going to be buying a 12 string soon and ill give you one guess what brand it will be.This guitar sound better than the Taylor 414ce Grand Auditorium i played when i was still shopping. This guitar is assembled in asia..but there is a final set up and QC inspection In Oregon. Breedlove Headquarters. I am One happy camper. The sound quality of this guitar is AWSOME!Save the extra thousand you would spend on a "NAME" and get twice the guitar in buying a breedlove! You wont be sorry.

Turned 50 and wanted to finaly have a martin guitar. I really had a high budget and had my heart set... but as the other reviews, the sound of the breadlove just took me away and I have not looked back. The looks are great too, plus I saved a few kitchen pass dollars for some stomp toys!!

Breedlove is the Best

By guitarkevin

from Columbia, MD

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar has more features than you will find on a Taylor or Martin for twice the price (on-board tuner, notch filter, phase and EQ). The tone is so full from high to low. Furthermore, the quality of Breedlove's guitars, from their top-of-the-line US made to their Korean line, is consistently heads and shoulders above what you'll get from Taylor or Martin. Just the case that comes with this guitar makes you feel like you spent $2K. The finishing work with the abalone and multi-layer binding, fret board inlays, neck joint, bridge etc. is exceptional. The action is exactly where it needs to be. I gigged a day after I bought it and played 2 sets of jazz, moving all over the fretboard, and had no fatigue what-so-ever. Don't forget to buy a sound hole humidifier.

Nice buy... for real

By JEB

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because it really did stand out amoung all of the other guitars. The price was a bonus. I was playing a taylor for $2499.00 and picked up this Breedlove, not knowing how much it was or where it was made, and I really liked it more. I found out how much it cost and where it was made and I couldn't believe it. Yes, I am guilty of buying name brand items but I couldn't pass this up. I have a similar story to other postings and my friends also love this guitar. They say the same thing... " man...hta is a smooth playing guitar...how much was this?" Really is a great guitar.

LOVE IT!

By Brad M

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar! I took a friend to help me shop. We played everything on the shelf in 3 guitar stores, that were priced up to $1500. This guitar blew away everything that we played except for maybe one other that was twice the price, and certainly not worth the additional money. I have had it now for 7 months and I still haven't played anything that makes me happier! I made a small adjustment to the action to reduce it, although it was pretty close out of the box. Seriously... Taylor and Martin need to take some lessons. Not that they don't make excellent guitars, but they are going to have their behinds handed to them on the price point. EXCELLENT! Buy this guitar!

very nice

By Jon J.

from New York, NY

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Like everyone else, I tried the Taylors and Martins in the price range, as well as Takamine and some cheaper Seagulls and Ibanez. The Taylor was a little too bright for my sound, the Martin had good sound but the playability was only ok, whereas their guitar in the next price bracket up was almost a carbon copy of the Breedlove's playability, clear full sound, and aesthetic beauty. The onboard electronics are great, it sounds beautiful plugged in or acoustic. My only complaint is the spacing between strings was a little uneven on the bridge - there are no notches for the strings to rest in, so I had to make adjustments there, but now I'm really happy with the guitar.

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have had this guitar for over a year now. It sounded great when I got it and keeps improving with age. I think it was the best sounding guitar they had in there at the time I bought it and I played quite a few of the top end guitars.

Amazing, Beautiful, Great Great Guitar

By City John

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been playing now for about 8 years, and decided it was time to upgrade my guitar. I have always had my starter Epiphone and as it was my 37th BDay, I decided to spend on myself and look for a very good guitar. Have to say, the sound, coming off the Breedlove D25 SR is just beyond words. Great electronics, easy to tune, nice deep warm tone. I've played others, this is the one for me. for the price, i would say it was worth it!

worth the look....

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I went into my local guitar center with the intention of looking at the 300 and 400 Taylor series. After playing a few Taylors that I really liked one of the workers handed me a Breedlove D25. I must admit I instantly fell in love with it based solely off of the looks. The pearl inlays around the soundhole, the body, and on the frets were beautiful. I actually was not expecting much sound wise but was surprised immediately. It has extremely crisp highs as well as nice deep lows and resonates for ages. There seemed to be no buzzing from the frets and was set up wonderfully. I will definitely be purchasing this guitar in the next few weeks. I encourage anyone who is looking to buy an acoustic to check out Breedlove before even considering Taylor or Martin.

What a beautiful looking and sounding guitar!

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have wanted a Breedlove guitar for years. I stopped at GC one day and saw this baby hanging and I just had to play it. I was instantly mesmerized by it's looks and it's sound! Needless to say I had to have it. I grin from ear to ear every time I open the case! I love this guitar! If you're in the market I highly recommend you go into the "room" at GC and compare this to higher dollar Taylors and Martins...Strum one of those, then strum this D25/SR You will be blown away!

Epitome of Tone

By Sam

from Atlanta, GA

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Just picked up one of these exquisite instruments from GC West Palm (courtesy of Mike), and I have to say, I'm impressed. Fantastic tone from the solid top and back, sounded great plugged in at the store, so I'm sure it'll sound fine run into a PA at a gig. The case that came with it is amazing, and, with a little humidifier thrown in, serves as a loyal guardian for this guitar. The looks are eye-catching as well. The inlays complement its neck, and the binding is superb. I highly recommend this guitar for anyone looking for a quality instrument with a killer price tag.

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Went to GC to upgrade to a better guitar. Looked at Taylors, Martins and some other great names. Bought a Breedlove Passport 250. Played the D25 and swapped immediately. Still waiting on the Breedlove Case but guitar is of ultra fine quality and sound. Play them all and then get yourself into a Breedlove.

Great Mic

By Isaac Williams

from Canby, Oregon

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have been playing guitar for four years now. Last christmas my parents bought me a cheap fender starcaster acoustic because I didn't have anything but an electric. I have been leading worship at a non-denominational christian youth group that i've been involved in for three years, and have been using my les Paul to do so. This last year I have been using my youth pastors Taylor 414ce more than my electric, which made me realiz that I needed an acoustic electric guitar, especially since I am going to be attending Boise Bible College in the fall of 2012 to study worship ministry :) I have been looking for over six months switching between Taylors and Martins(I know i'm just like everyone else haha). Towards the end of my search I found the taylor 210ce and started to do a lot of research on it. On one guitar forum I was reading people were discussing the 210ce and someone brought up that they sold their 210ce to get this so called "Breedlove". Now I had heard of breedlove, but not as much as taylors and Martins of course. I read further and got the model of the breedlove and it was this guitar. I started to do some online reading on this guitar and nearly everything was five stars, almost NO complaints! So I went in to Guitar Center yesterday to check it out because I had fallen in love with it online and wanted to see what it was really made of. The guy helping me went and grabbed the guitar for me so I sat down to play it.........................oh...my...goodness...This guitar was the best guitar I've ever seen/played/heard ever!!! The satin finish on the neck is to DIE for! The inlays on the fret board, the pearl design around the whole body...Flawless! But then again thats unplugged. So I went and plugged itin...OH MY GOODNESS!!! It just gets better! there is so much control that the LR Baggs lets you have. I walked back out to the guy who gave it to me after playing it for an hour and put it on layaway. I went and got it at 7pm August 1st. In my opinion Breedlove is better than taylors. For the price...Get it!!! It beats my youth pastors 414ce by far!
