When I first noticed this guitar it looked great and yes I walked right past it and picked up all of the Mid ranged priced Martin's and Taylors in the store. I really felt torn and was sure I would regret buying either one. When you are paying that kind of money for a guitar you don't want that feeling. I picked up the Breedlove just to see what it was all about and I fell in love. Honestly played better than any Martin or Taylor twice its price.

I bought this guitar for recording and playing live. I was so happy to get it! After a lot of research I thought wow, this is the one. It truly is a really nice guitar. Sadly to say after about six months of having it a buzzing noise started happening when i would strum it. I went to guitar canter and they put in a bridge doctor.(which i had to pay for but i had no problem doing so cause i loved it) but the noise came back. They ended up offering me another one that they had in the store but that had a little buzz too. Listen closely; if your thinking about getting one, save up two hun more and get a Martin performing artist series gutiar. guitar center was helpful in crediting be the value for the breedlove and cutting me a deal on the Martin. I was sad to get ride of the Breadlove but the Martin is better.

No Competition

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Try this guitar before you buy anything else. I bought this guitar a year ago and it is the best I have played in its price range and in above price ranges. When looking for an acoustic guitar I tried Taylors and Martins, but just wasn't impressed with any of them. When I was about to settle for a Taylor a guy handed me this Breedlove. I hadn't been familiar with Breedloves but the sound, pickup, and action beat any of the other guitars I was considering and blew me away. The rosewood really brings out the deep tones and adds a clarity to the high notes. Also, it's pretty darn good lookin'. You definitely get a well crafted guitar for a great deal.

This guitar is better than what i expected.

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

At first, my plan was to get a taylor but then i moved on to the martins and gibsons but i didnt like neither of them because of the price range and because i wanted an electric acoustic guitar. Then i saw this breedlove and it felt so comfortable. The sound was just perfect for me. I think that breedlove is very underated because its not as popular but their guitars are high quality for a cheap price. Id go for this than a martin or taylor at the same price and even higher.

True love

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

If u are into names that everyone knows get a Martin or a Taylor. If you want a guitar that will turn heads in sound, looks, and build quality than a Breedlove is for you. I never sat this guitar back down after playing it. Worth every penny at msrp, a great deal at retail and a steal for the sale price I got it at.

Outstanding guitar and customer service

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

In this price range, I don't think you can find a better sounding guitar. I am very impressed with the fullness of the sound as well as the playability of this guitar. It also records really well. I have a Fender Acoustasonic Amp and Tascam DP01 recorder and I am really impressed with the recording quality of the guitar. Also, Breedlove's customer service is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I originally had an AD25/SR Model and the wood piece that holds the strings in place split a little over a year after I bought the guitar (warranty expired). Breedlove took the guitar back and gave me a brand new Stage D25/SR in less than 2 weeks after I sent my old guitar in. I will definitely be a customer for life!

Masterpiece

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I went into GC looking for a Mid ranged Martin or Taylor as my "wedding present". I played every Martin and Taylor they had hanging. I kept walking right past this beauty because I was looking for Name only! Finally my Fiance asked me to try that one cause it "Looks pretty". I picked it up and fell in love! The sound blows away any of the Martin and Taylors in it's price range and played just as well as the Gibson Hummingbird i had messed with. This guitar is unbelievable and would trade for any other!!

Perfect right out of the box...

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was really uncertain on my decision between Taylor and Breedlove. Well that is till i took a closer look between the two. for $1000.00 I got a built in tuner,eq,beautifull neck inlay work ,gloss finish, hardshell case . I ordered my Breedlove Atlas D25/SR and was completely amazed when i received it. First off it was VERY well packaged. i opened it up and it was absolutely PERFECT out of the box. The action was perfectly low . NO BUZZ anywhere. Just simply BEAUTIFULL! Im a very picky guitar buyer and Im a Breedlove customer for life now. Im going to be buying a 12 string soon and ill give you one guess what brand it will be.This guitar sound better than the Taylor 414ce Grand Auditorium i played when i was still shopping. This guitar is assembled in asia..but there is a final set up and QC inspection In Oregon. Breedlove Headquarters. I am One happy camper. The sound quality of this guitar is AWSOME!Save the extra thousand you would spend on a "NAME" and get twice the guitar in buying a breedlove! You wont be sorry.

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Turned 50 and wanted to finaly have a martin guitar. I really had a high budget and had my heart set... but as the other reviews, the sound of the breadlove just took me away and I have not looked back. The looks are great too, plus I saved a few kitchen pass dollars for some stomp toys!!

Breedlove is the Best

By guitarkevin

from Columbia, MD

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar has more features than you will find on a Taylor or Martin for twice the price (on-board tuner, notch filter, phase and EQ). The tone is so full from high to low. Furthermore, the quality of Breedlove's guitars, from their top-of-the-line US made to their Korean line, is consistently heads and shoulders above what you'll get from Taylor or Martin. Just the case that comes with this guitar makes you feel like you spent $2K. The finishing work with the abalone and multi-layer binding, fret board inlays, neck joint, bridge etc. is exceptional. The action is exactly where it needs to be. I gigged a day after I bought it and played 2 sets of jazz, moving all over the fretboard, and had no fatigue what-so-ever. Don't forget to buy a sound hole humidifier.

Nice buy... for real

By JEB

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Stage Series D25/SRe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because it really did stand out amoung all of the other guitars. The price was a bonus. I was playing a taylor for $2499.00 and picked up this Breedlove, not knowing how much it was or where it was made, and I really liked it more. I found out how much it cost and where it was made and I couldn't believe it. Yes, I am guilty of buying name brand items but I couldn't pass this up. I have a similar story to other postings and my friends also love this guitar. They say the same thing... " man...hta is a smooth playing guitar...how much was this?" Really is a great guitar.
