I read all the reviews and still had to go to GC and put it in my hands. I bought it. It was very busy at GC and it was hard to hear but it felt great and played beautiful. When I got it home in my inner sanctum I played it side by side against my black maple Taylor 214. They are equal except the Breedlove has a cedar top ve the maple top back and sides. The cedar and mahogony. I played them both through my Beringer 45 accoustic amp. I love them both. The deluxe case with the Breedlove logo is a better bang for your buck. The quality is excellent on both guitars. I tune way down low and use a dunlop victor capo, which is awesome, and the Breedlove stays in tune better. The set up is perfect on both guitars right out of the box. April is guitar month, maybe Breedlove will apply a discount but it is still worth every penny. The Taylor has volume, treble and bass. The Breedlove has a tuner, bass, treble, middle, phase. The Taylor is made in Mexico, the Breedlove in South Korea
I purchased the C350/CRe after spending many hours at Guitar Center testing, playing, and finding "the one". Yes this guitar is Rosewood instead of Mahogany, but still the same guitar! I found, I kept returning to the Breedlove Guitars! After owning this guitar for about 6 months I am still happy. I have had a few friends (guitarists) play and listen to this guitar both acoustically and plugged in, and all agree that this guitar should not sound this good for the money! The craftsmanship is outstanding, the tone makes me sound good, and she just feels good!!! Not to mention the really, REALLY nice case this thing comes in! If I had the money back and could do this all over again, I would still buy the same guitar! Thanks Guitar Center, you guys are all right in my book!!!
I bought this as a gigging acoustic, didn't want my main one to get beat up on the road. My main concern was how it would translate through the pa, and it performs quite well in that area. Our sound tech was ecstatic out of what came through. I love the onboard tuner as I plug this directly to the snake through a d.b. Tuner window is very easy to see and turns green when in tune making it ideal for dark stages. Also description says gig bag but mine came with a really nice hardshell, not sure if thats what they went to or not but a nice bonus. Aoverall really happy with this guitar especially for the money.
I just received my guitar and I love it. I have owned everything from the Martin D45 to a 900 series Taylor. This is by far the finest sounding guitar acoustically and plugged in. It is by far the best piece i have ever owned and I highly recommend it! I played out for nearly a decade and there is nothing that comes close to it, Buy it, you will love it!
I just bought this guitar and I have to say, it is well worth the price. Mine was miss-marked and came with a deluxe hardshell case. I'm glad it did. I love this thing so much I wouldn't trust it to a gig bag. I originally wanted the spruce and rosewood version, but after I played this I had to have it. This guitar is both warm and bright with a range of tones sweeter than many guitars over two grand. I have played it constantly since I got it and every time I pick it up I am thouroughly amazed at the way it sounds. I love the pinless bridge, the bags pickup, and the design, detail and workmanship are flawless! I want another one! I have three electric guitars and play a lot, but I have played for hours and hours and hours every night since I got this four days ago and I can't put it down. Just try it. If your in the market for an acoustic electric you will be blown away, I promise.
This is one of the best sounding guitars i have ever heard...The action is very low and can easily be adjusted...sound is full and radiates everywhere...it is as if it were plugged in!! Totally worth the price and it comes with a wonderful stiff gig bag..5 stars! I'm in love!!!
I bought this guitar in May ... I'm absolutely hooked. It has a rich unamplified sound, which is good because I couldn't afford an amp for several months after I'd bought the guitar. Slightly narrower neck than a full classical, which is good for reaching the big chords. I took lessons over the summer, and several of the teachers stopped by to have a try at this Breedlove. Unanimous praise.
When I first saw the guitar I thought why would anyone put a hole in the side of the guitar? I heard the guitar when played and found out why. I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to hear what you are playing, the side hole acts like a monitor speaker. I would not be surprised if in a few years all guitars are made this way. Try it and see.
