I bought the American Series Tenor almost two months ago. It is truly a solid, well-made, very beautiful sounding instrument. It is unlike the Hawaiian style sounding ukuleles or the lower to mid-priced foreign made ones. It takes on a hand-made, Luthier sound that is mainly ukulele--but you can also hear a bit of a sweet guitar sound coming out of this ukulele. I have never actually owned any of their guitars, but I have seen them, and this instrument parallels the high quality and feel of those instruments. The fretboard and headstock are weighted heavier than most ukes due to the truss rod, etc., but it easier to get use to this when you account for the high quality of the workmanship and when you hear the sound that comes out of it. Also nice is the feel of the radius fretboard, which I find makes it even easier to play than all my other ukuleles. Intonation and action comfort for playing is right on as well. A beautiful hard case with the Breedlove logo also comes with the ukulele. So far, I love this ukulele and would say it's a definite keeper!
