      Breedlove Passport Plus C250/Sre Acoustic-Electric Guitar (105926984)
Availability:

The volume and definition of Sitka spruce, and the playability of a Breedlove body design makes this guitar easy to play and fun to play out.

The Breedlove Passport Plus C250/Sre is a highly versatile, comfortable and efficient acoustic-electric guitar. This model features amazing tone, beautiful appointments, and ultra-comfortable playability.

The concert body design of the Breedlove Passport Plus C250/Sre guitar is an ideal choice for fingerstyle playing and vocal accompaniment. The size of the guitar body is suited especially well for lead playing, as its focused tone helps in recording or performing onstage through a microphone. Smaller than a traditional dreadnought body, the Breedlove acoustic-electric guitar is a great choice for anyone who prefers playing a smaller guitar. The relaxed cutaway on the upper bout provides substantial comfort when accessing the upper-register frets.

The Breedlove Passport Plus C250/Sre features a versatile Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, providing balance between the bass, midrange, and treble, with rich harmonics and plenty of volume. The bolt-on mahogany neck is sturdy and offers tremendous clarity in both the sustain and decay of each note, as the Breedlove neck joint design creates a single, strong, and even piece of wood. The acoustic-electric guitar's rosewood bridge and fretboard create lots of tonal definition, and the soft V neck adds comfort and dexterity for intricate fretboard progressions.

This Breedlove guitar has both the new electronics and lighter-weight bracing in the top and back for increased resonance. Enjoy the Passport Tuner VTC pickup with the back-lit chromatic tuner for easy to read tuning indicator.

The design of this Breedlove acoustic-electric guitar yields abundant overtones, complexity, body resonance, and note-for-note swell ideal for creating natural effects, single note complexity, and orchestral chording. Dressed in a gloss finish and featuring Grover tuners and chrome hardware, the inherent beauty is plainly evident from the very first glance. You won't believe the brilliant tone that swells from the Breedlove C250/Sre guitar until you get it in your hands.

  • Looks great, feels great, and sounds great.

As reviewed by Andrew on 1/24/2011

I went to GC looking for a guitar that looks great, feels great, and sounds great. after playing this guitar I knew I had to buy it. Luckily, I even got a great deal. The look... This thing is a beauty. The guitar looks more expensive than it costs. The Indian Rosewood is absolutely stunning and contrasts well with the lighter sitka spruce. The body is unique (like most breedloves) and has a nice little shine to it. THE BODY IS NOT AS BIG AS A DREADNOUGHT, but trust me this thing can pump out some sound. The feel... OMG...this thing feels amazing. Without a setup the action on the guitar already felt like butter. The neck was so smooth. Playing up and down the neck was as easy as the $1,500 Taylors and Martins. Honestly, it makes playing this thing so fun. Everything about this guitar feels sturdy. The sound... For a smaller body, you really do get a nice full sound. The sound that emits from this guitar is very balanced. You don't get an overwhelming low or a metalic clanging high. Instead, you get a nice tight sound (think of a choir that blends perfectly). Other things... The preamp is not fancy (tuner, volume, high and low, low), but it works flawlessly. The tuner on this thing is really cool; you need to try it out. I tested the sound out of a Fischer amp and it sounded great. The tuners are sturdy and stay in tune.

  • a *real* instrument

As reviewed by keith on 12/7/2010

i purchased this little baby just a few weeks ago for my birthday. It plays as easy as they come. The tonality is balanced well, with the mids being the most striking in my opinion. It is the perfect guitar for fingerstyle playing. My only complaint is i have to be mindful when using alternate tunings because it isn't as strong when compared to lets say a dreadnaught, also with that being said it's important to use a proper gauge so the tension is kept reasonable. The best thing about the instrument is its pinless bridge; soo useful.

  • Amazing guitar

As reviewed by Mehr on 12/21/2010

I got it a few days ago and I have been playing it for 4-6 hours a day. It sounds perfect and is easy to play. I would recommend buying it over a Taylor or Martin in the same price range...
