Breedlove Passport C200/SMe Acoustic-Electric Guitar Blemished - Like New (H91144)

Bright, tasty tone in a convenient acoustic-electric package.

The Passport C200/SMe acoustic-electric guitar is inspired by the Breedlove Custom Shop concert in its shape and voice. The Passport C200/SMe is a versatile, comfortable, and efficient traveler guitar, giving you great sound and portability without sacrificing any quality. This instrument plays like a full-scale guitar just with a slightly smaller body. It features amazing tone, sustain, and complexity in each note. A solid Sitka spruce top and beautiful mahogany back and sides generate a warm sound with good note clarity.

The Passport C200/SMe has both integrated electronics and top-quality bracing in the top and back for increased resonance. The Passport Active VTC pickup lets you be heard in any venue and a built-in chromatic tuner with backlit screen makes it easy to stay in tune. A 9-volt battery is easily accessed near the endpin area.

Includes gig bag.

  • Compact but Uncompromised

Because I play a lot of guitar recreationally and for church, I wanted a travel-sized guitar that would be light, convenient, but full in sound. Already, I own a 2008 Taylor 214ce, but that can be heavy to carry around at times. Prior to my purchase, I was deciding between this Breedlove Passport and the Taylor GS Mini. Acoustically, the GS Mini trumped; but when plugged into an amp, it sounded very tinny and with some slight static. I chose the Breedlove primarily because I plug in and play a lot. The electronics with the Passport were much cleaner, more responsive, and smoother than that of the GS Mini. And there are knobs to adjust tone and volume, too; unless you purchase it separate, the GS Mini does not come with a pick-up either. To top it off, this Breedlove was very reasonably priced for the clear, full sound it produces. Though this guitar is purposed more for fingerpicking, it still sounds great when strummed. The gig bag is acceptable; I wish it was as padded as that of the GS Mini... But again, this guitar is still great in tone and quality, particularly when plugged in. One mild caveat is that there is no pick-guard, but you can always get a cheap one in-store.

  • Great sound/ quality for the price

Just got this guitar and fell in love with it immediately. It's small size takes a bit to get used to but it feels very intimate once you do. Good action and sustain; crisp, bright, rich tone, very portable, and sounds great plugged in. However, if you are looking for guitar to do heavy strumming on, you might want to look somewhere else first; It still sounds great strummed, but it sounds a bit less rich than a dread, for example. It's better suited to fingerstyle players. Overall, very well rounded guitar and definitely worth the cost!
