  • Breedlove Atlas BJ350/SM4

    This bass is fantastic! The L.R. Baggs electronics are very good. When played through a 10" speaker on my Fender Bassman amp, it is amazing. A very rich tone acoustically as well. My wife and I play together with bass and acoustic guitar, and this bass is perfect! Outperforms the Ibanez, Fender, Dean offerings by a mile. The set-up is great, right out of the nice hard-shell case. The tuner tunes accurately and the tone shaping abilities of the EQ is very good. I got this bass at an additional discount with a coupon, and feel very lucky to own such a fine instrument at such a fair price. Fit and finish superb. Completely exceeds my expectations. I high recommend Breedlove instruments.

  • WOW! Acoustically Loud Bass

    I have been searching for an acoustic bass that would perform acoustically with one other acoustic guitar. I played three of these before I found one that was loud enough. No other ABG came close. I played all I could find, but did not have the pleasure of playing the Warwick Alien. Fit and finish was much better than most. With a proper setup this bass is not only loud it is very playable. I had to file the nut slots to level the strings and sanded the bridge to lower the action. Gave the truss rod a little relief and snugged up the JLD brace. It plays really well.

  • best acoustic bass i have EVER played

    This is the best acoustic bass guitar i have played in three years. I own several Breedlove guitars, and will with no doubt, add this to my collection. The sound from this thing is amazing, the looks are beautiful, and it is extremely comfortable. No other acoustic bass has been able to comfortably fit in my lap. My two band mates were with me at guitar center when i tested it out. We played several songs, and i could always hear myself through the two of them (one singer with a twelve string,and another who is a very hard strummer). The body of the bass is the exact same as the Breedlove Passport C250/CMe, and has a very similar preamp. The difference being the top wood of the bass(sitka spruce) and the preamp back light(yes its lit) turns red when your out of tune, and green when your in tune. The controls on the preamp are low, mid, high, and also, in-line mute, notch, and phase(not to be confused with "phaser"). I should also mention that it is very light.
