  • Why The Heck Not?

As reviewed by Bobby Kane on 7/25/2011

The second sound hole on the side of this guitar took me by surprise at first. I thought it would kill the sound. Well... I can admit when I'm wrong. The second sound hole is a blessing. Some of the pure, guitar-body sound is pointed right at you. Let's say you're on a stage gig and you have to cover your front sound hole to stop feedback. You still have the second making it so easy to hear what you're playing without having to rely on external monitors. I'm super impressed. The body is sturdy. The neck is smooth and the action is like butter. I'm tempted to tell people not to buy one so I can have the only one out there but you won't want to put it down once it's in your hands. Get one. You'll see. I eventually want to change over all my acoustic guitars to Breedlove. They've amazed me yet again.

  • Wow!

As reviewed by Michael Wallace on 7/1/2010

Ok, Wow! I was shopping for an acoustic electric and found my way into the acoustic room at guitar center. I tried some Ibanez, takamine and Ovation guitars, all of which sounded very different in the tonal range. Still, none of them were quite right. I picked this up because it was close to the price range I was looking at, only a little over. One strum and I was blown away. After listening to about 7 or 8 guitars, this was glorious! The lows were low, the highs were crystaline, the mids were perfect. This thing sounded so much better than anything I have picked up under 3 grand, that I have to have it. The side sound hole seemed wierd, but once you hear the sound that bubbles out of this thing you will greatly appreciate the subtlety with which it can be played. This guitar opens a whole new world of acoustic playing. If you think it is just another acoustic guitar and not a ground breaking design in tone and performance quiality, try it. Fro me, spending half this much on a guitar that doesn't sound nearly as good is just retarded.
