Overview

The Boss ME-25 multi-effects pedal provides a collection of additional sounds and features over the previous ME unit at the same price. This Boss guitar pedal includes a completely redesigned operating system which allows the entire product to operate in "EZ-Tone" mode, making the Boss ME-25 simple to use. There are added effects, COSM amp models, and a USB port for direct connection to computers. The ME-25 effects pedal is bundled with Cakewalk Sonar 8 LE and a DVD providing over one hundred audio loops that can be imported into Sonar for jamming or practice. The Boss ME-25's 60 onboard programs are organized into a Sound Library, which enables all the onboard tones to be selected simply by type. This built-in sound library gives you instant access to dozens of classic and modern effects. Simply choose a category, select a variation and play. You can customize your sound with simple twists of the Drive, Tone, and Volume knobs.

COSM (Composite Object Sound Modeling)
Composite Object Sound Modeling-or "COSM" for short-is Boss/Roland's innovative and powerful technology that's used to digitally recreate the sound of classic musical instruments and effects. It even has a harmonizer which is the most insane thing ever. I have dropped it a couple of times and it works perfectly so its sturdy. to add your on affect and mess with the knobs are soo easy. The Sonar LE software that it comes with is amazing which is a steal. a must buy on my list

I recieved this pedal board for christmas and was very excited to plug it in for the first time. I played around with it for a few weeks and loved the 38 second loop, loud boost for solos, and the built in effects. It all sounds great except they did not think through making the channel-switcher. There is a number system on the screen where you save sounds, numbers 1-60. Each number you can save a pre set sound to. There are 2 channel foot switches, one making you move up one number on the screen, one making it go down a number. For example if im on number 4 and click the up pedal i move to 5. If you have delay set on 4 and the song is on distortion, which is #2(just an example), then you have to click through the #3 pre set, making all 3 sounds heard through the amp. Basically if you use 3 pre set sounds in one song you need to swich through all of the pre set sounds inbeetween the two numbers to get to that pre set, and then back to get to the normal sound. I dont want to worry about everyone hearing me switch through each effect on stage and worrying about going to the wrong effect.

Bought this not knowing quite what to expect. WOW, to say I'm blown away would be an understatement!!! I can't believe how it makes my practice amp sound. I don't know whether or not I'll ever figure out ALL of the sounds I can produce. And they all sound GOOD!! A GREAT investment. I highly recommend it!!!!!!!

A Bundle of Flaming Joy!

By Tyler

Comments about Boss ME-25 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

I always wanted this pedal but my peers constantly told me not to get a multi effect pedal because it will not sound as good as separate pedals. Boy were they wrong. Boss definitely outdid themselves with this one. This pedal does anything from the cleanest sound to the darkest scream. It sounds just as good as any separate pedal. And it has a a Built in Tuner! What more can you want from this thing. Go with your gut and buy this pedal!!!

Awesome Effects pedal!!

By Brian

from Salinas, CA

Comments about Boss ME-25 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

I picked this up at a local GC about 6 months ago just wanting to broaden my range of effects without breaking the bank. I figured I'de get what i paid for, a brick that makes decent effects compared to analog effects. I was wrong. This is a must have, made my marshal MG30FX sound even better. Adds bass and power and great clean distortion and has great range on all the effects. Setup is easy and quick, built in loop station is a great addition and easy to use on the fly. I would definately recommend this product. Great buy!!! Great price!!! It's a BOSS!!!

WOW

By Jim Tellman

Comments about Boss ME-25 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

WOW, I bought this a week or so ago and have'nt had this much fun in years. This makes my little Epiphone practice amp sound good enough to be on stage. No kidding. The sounds are clean and I don't think I will live long enough to hear them all, especially with the bundled software and access to the Boss website. An incredible deal for the money. Would give it 10 stars, but will have to settle for 5.

Thumbs Up So Far!

By Al

from Sterling Heights, MI

Comments about Boss ME-25 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

I purchased the ME-25 this past Saturday, Feb 27th 2010 from Guitar Center (My favorite Store). The unit is pretty solid, heavier than I imagined. I quickly figured out how to get to the sound presets (researching this baby on the internet helped also). The instructions were pretty clear on how to edit the presets and how to save your changes into memory. Back to the sound presets, there are many, many distortion sounds of which I liked only a few. There are some clean sounds that I was able to use Sunday (I play for a church), which shows you how quickly you can become familiar and comfortable with the ME-25. So far Iۡve tweaked and saved 8 presets into memory and used the presets successfully in performance. The unit can run on I believe 6 AA batteries however Iۡm using a Boss PSA adapter. In a nutshell this is a pretty good unit and should provide good quality sounds

Can't be Beaten

By James

from San Francisco. CA

Comments about Boss ME-25 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

The ease of use of this is ridiculous. Anyone could learn how to use it in like a minute. The sounds are great as well. With enough time spent on dialing them in, you can get the right tones for pretty much any song, form metal to blues or jazz. The acoustic feature is also surprisingly good, and the effects like reverb, flanger, etc. are also very good, especially on a larger valve amplifier. Id definitely recommend the power adapter though, this thing goes through batteries quick! For only $200, this thing is an absolute steal. It even comes with a basic Cakewalk recording software. I doubt a better deal exists. And it's not like you're getting some cheap budget thing, the construction is mostly metal, very solid, and the sound quality is studio grade.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

By Payton

Comments about Boss ME-25 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

I was blown away when I got this! I plugged it in, played a chord, and drowned in tone! There are so many effects to chose from and it is cool to mix and match them. The interface is quick and easy to use but doesn't cut any corners. This thing is built like a tank as well. The Super Stack makes any amp sound like a tube amp. The loop station is very easy to use and is super fun. You will not regret buying this! GET IT!

Comments about Boss ME-25 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

This is a great petal for starters or experts I have had this petal for about 2 months now and it is great. It is easy to use and has software if you by it new witch is great. The only thing witch could make it better would be a case to carry it in. This petal is worth it so if you can get it go ahead.
