Bass players can enjoy the same core processing muscle and flexibility of the GT-10 in a specially made sibling: the GT-10B multi-effects pedal. Massive power of BOSS' latest DSP and know-how of sound modeling based on COSM provide ultimate effects capability and essential features for bass. With a Parallel Effects Chain, Phrase Looper, and EZ Tone features, the GT-10B pedal is clearly the most advanced-yet-friendly bass station on the market.

Bass Tone Factory

Powered by BOSS' latest custom-made sound processor, the GT-10B provides dozens of stunning effects and COSM amp models to explore, combine, and customize, but with careful attention given to the needs of bass players. Indispensable effects for bass, including pro-quality Comp/Limiter and EQ, OD/DS, synth basses, high-band modulation effects that retain the integrity of the tone, and tons of effects from essential to esoteric.

Advanced sound

Powered by the custom-made new-generation processor and BOSS proprietary sound modeling method COSM, the GT-10B multi-effects pedal ushers in a new era of audio quality for guitarists. BOSS' huge accumulated know-how of effects and sound modeling are fully integrated into this new flagship multi-effects floorboard. As a result, tone quality is supreme, and response to playing dynamics is much more natural and musical. And not just for the stage -- the Boss GT-10B is also great in the studio thanks to its USB capability and digital output.

EZ TONE wizard

The GT-10B is a pro players dream, but it's also friendly and easy-to-use. The innovative EZ Tone wizard helps you create top-quality sounds quickly. It offers a truly intuitive approach based on graphical icons to get the sounds that bass players are imagining. No more struggling with parameters on the LCD or multiple cursor commands. As well as the EZ TONE, managing the Boss GT-10B pedal is truly intuitive. For example, the new Positional Tone Control allows tone and effects creation via a revolutionary Tone Grid where you place the pointer in a spatial area depending on what kind of tone or effects you want. Value of the essential parameters shown can be increased/decreased immediately by tweaking four rotary encoder knobs below the LCD. Operation is similar to having compact pedals on a pedal-board quickly jumping from any effect to any effect.

More flexibility and possibility

GT-10B's PARALLEL CHAIN offers two separate effects paths including COSM amp models for super tone capability or seamless switching from two bass effects paths. Two channels can be used simultaneously or blended by expression pedal, or even switched by playing dynamics.

Phrase Looper Built-In

GT-10B multi-effects pedal comes equipped with PHRASE LOOPER. This inspiring feature allows phrases to be created using sound-on-sound loop recording for performance, practice, or as a sketchpad.

USB Connectivity

Connect the GT-10B to a wide range of external gear via its rear-panel USB port, where audio and MIDI data (bulk data) can be streamed digitally to computers, digital recorders, or other compatible devices. Safely transfer precious data to and from the GT-10B via USB as well.

Quality Construction and Pro Outputs

XLR and _" stereo outputs are included for maximum audio flexibility. It's a BOSS tradition to build gear that looks great, is user friendly, and stands up to the rigors of the road. The Boss GT-10B pedal is no exception, with its strong, stylish design, and six dedicated footswitches plus expression pedal. The high-contrast LCD and LED make using the GT-10B a breeze even on dark stages or in glaring sunlight. The sturdy metal chassis is BOSS road-tough.

this is the boss

Comments about Boss GT-10B Multi-Effects Pedal:

this is the best bass effects pedal that i have EVER seen!!!! Listen to me go to the boss website and look at the vids of the gt10 and gt10b the two are basically the same but the gt-10b is tuned for bass. After you see the vids i pray the to compare this unit to any other on the market and yea it is expensive but no other unit will give as much bang for the buck. i have had mine for a few weeks now and i can't stop talking about it, the tones the features this unit has all the power we need and more. After you get this you won't need anything else forever! the manual is huge and seems intimidating but the gt-10b is real easy to use i set mine to use the looper built in to start with one of the ctrl switches. Boss is definatly the one for the best tones and features trust me i researched this before i spent my wife's $499. Now if i can get her to buy me a new marcus miller i will have been complete...!

Boss GT-10B

Comments about Boss GT-10B Multi-Effects Pedal:

I have been using a GT-10B for a few months now. This is my first serious effect processor and I must say that I am impressed and I have not even begun to get the best from it as yet. The presets range from "gee thats sounds cool" to "mmm, not sure about that" - distortion, octave, pitch shift, chorus, delay, reverb, synth are all in there and pretty easy to work with. I found it interesting that the tones tended to suggest musical styles that suited them. I must say that I am not too happy with the pitch shift though - there is a bit of a delay which is quite disconcerting. I was hoping to use this on a couple songs to change key and not need to adjust fingering etc. Gave up on that pretty soon when I tried some quick runs and kept getting lost because of the delays. Don't let that bother you though - it is a small problem with a pretty good little box. In fact, the rest of the folk in the band acuse me of having too much fun with it.

Worth upgrading from the GT-6B!

By Steve

from McKinney, TX

Comments about Boss GT-10B Multi-Effects Pedal:

I've had the GT-6B and the guitar version of the GT-8. I hate the GT-8 and absolutely love the GT-10B. It was definitely worth upgrading. This is so easy to use, plus, it has balanced XLR outs, USB streaming, and more CTL 3&4 pedal options. The software is graphical, so you make the sound you want, and it picks the effects you need to make the sound, and you are done. Super simple, and the display shows a lot more info. Played with the Line 6 X3, and this was infinitely easier to use. Stop looking around, just find a way to get the GT-8B.

Most Amazing Pedalboard for Bass!

By Kevin

from Manassas, VA

Comments about Boss GT-10B Multi-Effects Pedal:

I just got the GT-10B for Christmas this year along with a Behringer BXL18000 Ultrabass Bass Amp and I was shocked and awed! The GT-10B was very tricky at first, but just mess around with it a little bit and you'll be able to make the coolest effects and tones out there. I love the Phrase Looper. I can record whatever comes off the top of my head, write it down on paper or my Guitar Pro, and I'll never forget it. The COSM amp models make such a huge difference in tone and it lets me tweak and shape it to perfection. With 200 Preset patches, 29 effects, including delay, chorus, and reverb, 12 preamps, and 4 different wah pedals, you can really make a tone no one has ever heard before. Go buy yourself one! I'm an amateur musician on the road and I've had people say I sound like a pro with this multi-effects board.

excellent tone!! Will please those tone snob bassists!

Comments about Boss GT-10B Multi-Effects Pedal:

I own the Boss GT-10 for guitar so I took the plunge and bought this for my bass "side-gig." I play mainly at church and it's not a very big church and all of our sound is DI boxes into a board. This thing impressed even my bassist(I play guitar for this church team)who is an old vetran of sound & enginering. Couple of notes:#1 very happy about the XLR outs, I believe the less in the signal path the better the sound. The question I pose why not any for the GT-10? #2 The tone is just awesome. Just like the GT-10 you can tweak to your hearts desire and add anything you want to the sound, effects wise #3 the downside- to me some of the effects are totally useless and possibly only suitable for recording, much more patches needed to be focused on diffrent tones, more preamp models I think would have been good too. The GT-10 gives you 3-4 diffrent "shades" if you will on each pre-amp model and the GT-10b doesn't. Overall an excellent purchase, built like a tank just like it's twin brother. Gives great sound even for bassists who tend to be tone snobs. Offers you many choices or "outs" for your sound to be heard. Cant wait to use it for my side gig where I play bass exclusivly and run straight into the PA, ran straight into the PA with the GT-10 for guitar and was blown away so I'm looking forward to the same experience.

Comments about Boss GT-10B Multi-Effects Pedal:

I bought the GT10 a few weeks ago. This is the Cadillac of all pedal boxes. It is very quiet, and has a great memory capability, and a ton of sounds. After an few hours of experimenting, I started modifying preset sounds and saving them to user banks. The best part is that I can spend hours fine tuning a sound to get exactly what I want, then save it. I am using it for my bass, and I plug it into my synth also to play synth bass. It works great for both.

Decent but overpriced

By michael

Comments about Boss GT-10B Multi-Effects Pedal:

I wrote a well articulated and elaborate review and for some reason it did not post. Rather than retyping it, I will provide a brief and hopefully helpful review. Pros: A variety of different effects, the ability to create your own patches, convenient (it has a direct out so if you play in a venue with a reasonable PA you don't have to bring an amp; also you can record directly into any recording software via usb), great for recording, sounds pretty good (not as good individual pedals; it is best when playing direct through headphones or recording. I can't seem to get the same sound when I play live through an amp) Cons: overpriced (I wouldn't pay anymore than $300 for it), tons of unnecessary effects and presets, can be confusing to use (I had a hard time figuring out how to create an effect where you can blend an effect (e.g.distortion) with the expression pedal. Conclusion: Buy it if you can get it for cheap. Otherwise, I think it would be better to buy a few individual pedals and use those. They sound better, it would be cheaper (depending on how many effects you need. I really only use and envelope filter, octave, and distortion; I use the graphic eq on my amp and compression on my amp), and they are easy to use. I hope this was helpful
