Overview

The Boss GT-10 is a multi-effect guitar pedal driven by the latest custom-made Boss DSP and their proprietary Composite Object Sound Modeling (COSM). The GT-10 pedal is a floorboard powerhouse that offers massive effects capability, natural musical response and a marked improvement in sound quality. The Boss GT-10 is also loaded with an innovative user interface including EZ TONE which allows you to create new sounds with the most intuitive and easy-to-use interface ever.

Advanced sound

Powered by the custom-made new-generation processor and BOSS proprietary sound modeling method COSM, the GT-10 guitar pedal ushers in a new era of audio quality for guitarists. BOSS' huge accumulated know-how of effects and sound modeling are fully integrated into this flagship multi-effects floorboard. As a result, tone quality is supreme, and response to playing dynamics is much more natural and musical. And not just for the stage—the GT-10 is also great in the studio thanks to its USB capability and digital output.

EZ TONE wizard

The GT-10 is a pro players dream, but it's also friendly and easy-to-use. The innovative EZ Tone wizard helps you create top-quality sounds quickly. It offers a truly intuitive approach based on graphical icons to get the sounds that guitarists are imagining. No more struggling with parameters on the LCD or multiple cursor commands. As well as the EZ TONE, managing the GT-10 multi-effect pedal is truly intuitive. For example, the Positional Tone Control allows tone and effects creation via a revolutionary Tone Grid where you place the pointer in a spatial area depending on what kind of tone or effects you want. Value of the essential parameters shown can be increased/decreased immediately by tweaking four rotary encoder knobs below the LCD. Operation is similar to having compact pedals on a pedal-board quickly jumping from any effect to any effect.

More flexibility and possibility

Boss GT-10's PARALLEL CHAIN offers two separate effects paths including COSM amp models for super tone capability or seamless switching from a clean tone to a heavy tone and vice versa. Two channels can be used simultaneously or blended by expression pedal, or even switched by playing dynamics.

Phrase Looper Built-In

GT-10 comes equipped with PHRASE LOOPER. This inspiring feature allows phrases to be created using sound-on-sound loop recording for performance, practice, or as a sketchpad.

USB Connectivity

Connect the GT-10 pedal to a wide range of external gear via its rear-panel USB port, where audio and MIDI data (bulk data) can be streamed digitally to computers, digital recorders, or other compatible devices. Safely transfer precious data to and from the GT-10 via USB as well.

Quality Construction

It's a BOSS tradition to build gear that looks great, is user friendly, and stands up to the rigors of the road. The GT-10 is no exception, with its strong, stylish design, and six dedicated footswitches plus expression pedal. The high-contrast LCD and LED make using the GT-10 multi-effect pedal a breeze even on dark stages or in glaring sunlight. The sturdy metal chassis is BOSS road-tough.

The single greatest investment I have made on my pedal setup yet. I used to own all the individual Boss pedals until they started breaking on me because they dont line up perfectly with the metal connectors. I got sick of pressing two, three, and four pedals at the same time and the distortion/clean. This makes life so much easier for Live Shows and the Studio. This has EVERY single pedal and effect you could ask for and more, PLUS THIS MODEL HAS A LOOP STATION!!! PURE GENIOUS! I endorse BOSS products 100%. Go buy one right now. It'll take some time to set it up and choose the settings and such but once it's all memorized and saved you just have to play!!! No joke, the BEST thing in digital effects out right now!!

Ok this thing is the most finicky thing i've ever used, it really isn't that complex, i understand how it works and i know most of it's features. But i just find EVERYTHING sounds the same, but with different eq settings. For example, there is a marshall higain preamp, it sounds like a rectifier amp model, but with different eq settings on a 10 band eq or something, everything has the same feel to it, the high gain amp models are ok, clean is pretty good but i find chords aren't pleasant to the ears, crunch is ok but i rarely use any crunch so i wouldn't count it out. This thing DOES NOT respond like a tube amp at all, and i find it tends to sound horrible at high volumes. I found the best way to get a good high gain sound is leave the gain at twelve oclock and put a tube screamer into the mix, some days i like this amp, some days i hate it, but i know i will eventually sell it to some poor sucker and go get a line 6 pod x3 live. Oh and the mesa amp models treble, bass and mids don't even respond properly, or it's just naturally a really weak eq.

The Best Effects Pedal Out There!

By Jason Jamna

from South Ozone Park, NY

Its a really good Deal and it is worth every penny. Upgraded from the GT-8 it is beyond impressive. It will take some time to get used to it but it will be worth it when you reach it to its full potential!

Awsome product!

By stephen

from roswell, NM

I have been playing for a few years now and all I had was a little rp-80 me and my dad spit the cost 50-50 and it was the best investment you could ever make when it comes to processors. It is a little diffuclut to understand and work but when you figure it out you will be able to make what ever tone you want to make the possiblities are endless. The best sounding effect is the chours i have yet to hear something better from a pedal. I recomend buying the extention pedals with it.

Best Multi-Effects Processor Under 500 Bucks!

By The Telepicker

from Bryan, TX

First off, I've always been a single pedal, and tube amp guy, and no variation on those two for over 30 years. Love my Twin and Deluxe Reverb, and will continue to keep them and play them, but several years ago went the ME-50 route due to weight & space requirements. The 50 was great for quick, short venues. Upgraded to the ME 70, and was pleased with it until a friend bought a GT-6 on eBay. The sounds were amazingly incredible! The ME 70 is the great upgrade to the ME-50, but the GT-10 is the flagship of sound! The big difference I had to get used to was to get out of the mindset of the ME50 & ME70 that has 3 or 4 dedicated effects, then the ability to have User presets on top of that. The difference is you have to create a patch on the GT-10, or use the pedal assign. Wish the manual had stated that right up front, first thing, then, I think I would have saved about a week's worth of stress over that. Plan to do some digging and tweaking, but your time will be well rewarded for it.

Boss Gt-10

By Yatin

from New Delhi, India

At first this processor was a beast. It had insane clean and distortion tones. But slowly, the distortion tones became, not so receptive and weren't as good as any other processors that the GT-10 has a competition with. And many people have the problem in choosing between the GT-10 and the POD X3 Live. My personal experience. Go for the POD X3 Live. It's much better than the GT-10. Though GT-10 is an awesome pedal. But it gets dull and boring after sometime.

BEST THING EVER

By metallica23ryan

from Baltimore MD

I love this thing. It has just about everything. I got it 3 days ago and i probably have not gone through every patch, or effect. I play a ton of guitar on stage, in my basement, and at my friends house. This effect pedal has everything from reverb to humanizer!. If I could, I would rate this product 100 out of 5 stars. One of the best things on this is a loop station that can loop 38 seconds, and you can add unlimited tracks. If you are thinking of getting a pedal, consider this amazing pedal the one. Once again, best pedal ever!

Everything I hoped for and more

By Chip Wolf

from Willard MO

I bought this after hanging on to an Ibanze UE-400 for years. At first I was a bit frustrated as BOSS instructions in general are not written that well. They are hard to follow at times. After I have spent some time working through some of the instructions, and frequent references to some very helpful videos on how to program and edit sounds on Youtube (thanks folks), I have really been able to begin to use this great pedal. Great and heavy construction, so it is durable. Nice to look at visually and good in low or regular light Nice wide range of sounds and effects. I really liked the looping time allowed. Fun to layer more sounds on top of the base loop. The only thing I was disappointed is that you are unable to start and stop and restart a loop. Once you stop it, it is gone. Bummer. As I have now gotten a better feel for editing sounds, the pedal is becoming more and more fun. I would recommend this pedal for sure, but the directions could use some work. But you can get some good visual instruction on Youtube.

The Best Multi-Effects Processor

By Ryan

from Allen Park, MI

If you're looking for a multi-effects processor, look no further. I have owned the GT-10 for about 6 months now, and the GT-10 can turn any amplifier into "your sound." It has 50 banks, with 4 channels each, so you will never run out of memory. The EZ Tone option gives you the option to create any tone from scratch. I also found the looper/recorder very useful if you have a riff and want to lay a solo over it. The metal exterior makes this machine very durable, I would know because I dropped it the first day I got it, and there wasn't a dent on it. If you need effects, the GT-10 has plenty. You can have 2 effects per channel. There is also 2 effect chains you can switch between or combine. It is bit heavy, but if you get the bag, (not included) it is easy to transport anywhere. All this and more from the Boss GT-10.

Love It!

By Brian Miller

from Wichita, KS

I had been fooling around with a ton of different programs trying to achieve the "perfect sounds". Mainstage with Logic, Guitar Rig 3 and 4, Waves (which was prolly the next best), Spider IV amp modeling, and none of these even compare to this pedal. Was back and forth between this and the Line 6 X3 live and for some reason went with this one based mainly on the looper. The ability to download new patches that other people put extreme effort to online is also a huge plus. Would buy this again in a heartbeat. . . good job Boss!!
