I have tried alot of chorus pedals and as always Boss Hasn't let me down. The CH-1 Super Chorus Pedal is a very good pedal. You can fine tune the sound to suit your needs. Like every boss pedal it will out last alot of other pedals, because they are extremely durable.

this chorus pedal is a very good pedal if ur looking for a chorus that will fatten ur sound to make up for what ur amp lacks but if ur looking for a crystaline and watery "come as you are" chorus sound then this pedal is not for you, it only offers subtle chorus sounds. to attempt to attain that sound will only give you a tremolo or flange effect. if ur looking for the watery chorus boss is known for then the ce 3 is what you need. chorus ensemble has been boss trademark sound for as long as i know of and its exactly what its name implies, an ensemble of great chorus sounds. which will allow u to get any chorus sound, i own this pedal and wont give it up for nothing because of the things that its capable of but it is not my standalone chorus for cleans, instead i use a vintage fender chorus paired with this pedal and it sounds very impressive, but as far as a number one chorus pedal goes, my ce 3 is the work horse, but like i said before if u just want to fatten and contour ur sound, buy this pedal.

Standard for 80's music for a great reason

Comments about Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal:

I am through with multi-effects units as they never sound the same as individual pedals ever. Having said that, the Boss CH-1 Super Chorus is my main "clean" sound for anything from Siouxsie and the Banshees to quieter parts and ballads of 80's Metal. It's build like a tank, not impossible to destroy. (I really don't plan on using a AGM-114 Hellfire Missile on it like one would use to destroy a tank. I figure I am good, thanks) Anything from a warble to subtle shimmer to your mix, thanks to the handy wet/dry-mix level adjustment that some chorus pedals lack. I also had considered the Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble, but this one really gets my sound where I want it. Rock on!

2 Broke After 1 Day

By

Comments about Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal:

I got the SUPER Chorus because I saw some demos and really liked the online review. I got my pedal shipped to the store near me. I then took it home and jammed with it for a few hours. The next day I went to use it again and it didn't work. The pedal would turn on but the actual effect didn't work. So I went to the store and they said it was almost unheard of for this to happen. So I happily exchanged it for a new one. I took that one home and it didn't work either. So I got a MXR instead. I guess if you get one that works its a really nice pedal. I was not so lucky.

Great Pedal

Comments about Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal:

I have had this pedal for a few weeks and i love it. I listened to the Super Chorus and the Chorus Ensemble by Boss and this one had a better tone. They were the same price, but the Super Chorus had a better tone. As far as I can say, it's a great pedal.

Subtle Flanger

By

from Houston, Tx

Comments about Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal:

All at noon you can barely tell that the pedal has any effect. Full open it sounds like a subtle flanger. Something I?m not real found of. I was expecting as chorus implies a second or third voice in the sound. And oddly, I haven?t been able to generate the Boss Video sound even with their settings.

Almost as good as the discontinued bigger brother, Boss CE-5

By

from Boston, MA

Comments about Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal:

Though the Boss CE-5 seems discontinued, there was one on the Boss pedal panel at my local Guitar Center next to this pedal. It sounds like a Roland Jazz Chorus most likely because Boss is a subsidiary of Roland, but I bought the CE-5 since it's deeper, probably because it has a bass knob, and this pedal only has an EQ knob, which doesn't really add bass or treble at the same time, but it balances it.

The Ultimate Disappointment

By

from Haverhill, Massachusetts

Comments about Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal:

I thought I would stick to Boss my whole life. WRONG. I was looking for a chorus pedal with shimmery tone. This pedal requires that all the knobs be turned ALL THE WAY UP for even a small chorus effect. I wanted it, because it was boss, but it flat-out sucked. I'd go with an Ibanez pedal, a Mod Tone, or an EH Neo clone. I, myself got the ModTone Aqua Chorus. The Neo clone is way more shimmery, though. Hope this helped.

Great for bass too!

By

from VT

Comments about Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal:

I was looking to get a boss: bass-chorus, however i tried this pedal out for fun, and it sounds great on bass!! It gives it just the right amount of chorus, and to me it sounds better than the bass chorus pedal. You can tweak the effects so that you can get your sound really wet and saturated with chorus to a very light subtle effect to play the most delicate clean parts. As you would expect from Boss, this pedal is built like a tank, it feels really nice and solid. I would recommend this pedal to a bass player or guitar player, the price is defiantly worth it, if you like spacey sounds you will be using this pedal a lot. Paired up with an echo/delay you can really unleash the potential with this pedal.
