  • You'll trip for hours...

As reviewed by Eric on 9/1/2011

The only pedal I've found that really nails the phase-inversion "out of speakers trick" that makes your stereo speakers sound like surround. A few high end "two speaker surround" products for home theater use this trick as well, and you've definitely heard it, along with lots of other stereo expansion tricks (Muse's Absolution, etc). To get this hallucinatory 3D effect you typically do a bunch of complicated phase inversion, EQ filtering, and panning automation in a DAW (obviously not something you are going to do live). This pedal does an AMAZING job of turning these 3D effects into a live performance tool... You can apply groove patterns to your source signal and have those patterns mixed with your dry signal in any combination via external expression pedal. The groove patterns will bounce left to right far beyond your actual speakers... You can even set them to swirl around your head 360 (all with just two well-positioned speakers). It is a functional pedal too... You can easily slave its tempo to another device via MIDI clock sync and apply it as final "stereo expansion mastering" after a clock synced looper, drum machine, etc. Seriously, invest a little time/cash in this pedal and a proper dual amp setup and you'll trip out for hours

  • Interesting and Versitile

As reviewed by Jouji_Miichi on 7/13/2011

I bought this pedal used after doing endless research on it. This peice offers a very unique sound but you WILL NOT get the full effect unless you use two amps. Using this pedal "Mono" style (with one amp) will give you cool sounds but when used in "stereo" (with two amps or one amp and the other line to PA system) it will slice your input and deliver it back to you in what ever variation you choose. I love the Ping Pong effect. The two harmonic banks offer you 20 different harmonic patterns to give your sound a funky, multi-toned rhythm that you will find in no other pedal. The only downside i found is that the Loop function is a little tricky to use in the sense that you must be aware of your effect level in relevance to your direct level to get the sound you want played back. I'm sure with a little practice you'll find exactly what your looking for.

  • Amazing Just keep your feet on the ground.

As reviewed by Preston on 5/26/2010

I bought this effects pedal not to long after it came out. Just trying to yet again broaden my possibilities. It worked not only does it sound amazing stand alone but if you mix it with lets say a DD-7 Digital delay set on analog with an e-bow resonating the Low E string dropped to a D then loop that within the slicer and just play a few chords over it to start off you'll like what you hear. I've been in guitar center many times every time before i bought this device i wowed people with what i was doing. So my only suggestion is to keep your feet on the ground because you're head will be floating in the clouds.
