The Best Reverb

After comparing several Reverb pedals I bought the RV-5 because it had to most features and would allow me to dial in whatever reverb sound i needed. Other pedals that were close were the Digiverb and the Holy Grail. The Holy Grail has a weird Flange when turned way up and the Digiverb just didnt feel right. Playing with the RV-5 can make you feel like your playing in a huge stadium or sitting in the sweet spot in the studio. I dont know how I ever played without it. I rated the value at a 4 because of the price. If you want the best i guess you have to pay for it, but now that I own it I will never let it go.

Boss RV-5 Digital Reverb Effects Pedal

The Boss RV-5 Digital Reverb Effects Pedal is my staple reverb.I haven't heard amp reverb since I bought this pedal and thank god for that.Since getting the Boss RV-5 I feel my tone has really came alive.I like the spring reverb settings in conjuntion with some boss compression pedal, sweet and sassy.Good job Boss.

Favorite Pedal

This quickly became my favorite pedal. I can't remember the last time I played without using it. There are better sounding more expensive reverbs out there but this particular pedal offers you six different types of reverb. All six sound great and are very useable. This is clearly the best deal out there for a reverb pedal.

Reverb - Delay

Boss RV-3 Reverb/Delay - This RV-3 is a great all around reverb and delay unit with a ton of options to suit most styles. 11 modes offer various modes of standard delay, delay plus reverb, and straight reverb. Up to 2 seconds of delay and four useful types of reverb (Room 1, Room 2, Hall, and Plate) are fully tweakable. Like most Boss delays, the repeats are crisp & pronounced with a dependable decay. All four reverbs bordered a little on the bright side and we constantly found ourselves rolling a bit of high-end off with the tone knob just to keep things warm. It?s not shrill in any sort of way, we just happen to like our reverb a little darker sounding. The Reverb/Delay combination modes knocked the delay time down to around 1 second but created a thick and washy spaciousness that should send most ambient types and space rockers into the stratosphere.

Sounds... digital.

As is the case with a lot of Boss pedals, this unit sounds overly digital. It's cold, and there are artifacts. The spring rever sounds particulary bad. The Marshall pedal sounds twice as good.
