HEAVY
This is one flexible pedal. You can play anything from Sabbath to Slayer to Pantera on this one pedal. If you want a pedal that will keep the neighbors up at night and will blow out your ear drums, buy this one. You won't regrete it.

Boss Metal Zone
This is a great addition to any metal guitarists effect chain. I've used other distortion pedals before and the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone one is my favorite. I have an Ibanez RG-7420 7-string and it sounds great with this. The parametric EQ for the mids lets me get just the sound I want. Other distortion pedals can get you the same sound but cost three times as much. The only downside is the slighly loud noise floor it produces, but a noise gate fixes that right up. I definately recommend this for any heavy style guitarist.

Metalheads Rejoice!
Wow! I could practically sum up this review with that one word. I was actually given this pedal by a buddy of mine at church. When I got home and hooked it up, I was blown away! This little pedal gives some of the best distortion I have ever heard, it even makes my cheap guitar sound good through my cheap amp! It's quite versatile, featuring 6 tone knobs, allowing you to adjust from low gain, almost bluesy type stuff, to high gain heavy metal. This is great for the guitarist who wants to change their tone from day to day with a single pedal. It allows for smooth note clarity, even at super high gain.
On top of the awesome tone it produces, it's built like a tank! The metal casing not only makes it look cool, but makes the durability awesome! I've owned and used many distortion pedals, and this is by far the best I have ever used. If you're seeking a pedal to give you that awesome metal tone, buy this today!

Rock on, metalheads.
This pedal is my favorite of the three I own so far. It has an awesome sustain and I feel empowered by the distortion. I haven't found much use for it in worship, but I could figure out something.
This is a must have for the electric-guitarist.

This pedal ROCKS!
If you want to rock this is what you crave. This pedal will give you that high gain that you crave. Unlike some distortion pedals this one sounds more full (more like a tube effect unit). You will be able to get incredible sustain with this unit so be prepared to break out a solo. The pedal should enable you to get good mids, and impressive lows. This unit is also built Boss tough so it should handle the abuse of the road. So if you want to rock or shred metal this is what you want.

Awesome pedal
This pedal is pretty unbeatable. it has 5 tone knobs that let you do death core to cream. it really make the cheapest guitar or amp sound great! boss did a great job on this one. the only complaint i have is that the sound is very trebly, so sometimes it is unclear because the gain is so high. after a while i bought a Marshall cabinet so i use this pedal a bit less now but its great for a metal guitarist on a budget.

Sounds Awesome!
I bought this Metal Zone pedal shortly after buying my first guitar and amp, and it has been fun ever since. There are quite a variety of settings you can play with. My favorite is cancelling out the mids to sound like Dimebag (sorta :D). With the added reverb from my amp, I can emulate alot of bands. It's fun to show off with :D

Still a great pedal
I've had my Metal Zone for about four years now. I bought it used at a swapmeet from a burnt out metalhead. It was obviously well used. It still works perfectly today. With four knobs, it takes a little practice to use. Great metal sound as the name implies, maybe not for you sick death guys. Has great tone, to me, the best feature. Yes, perfect balance of tone and gain. Digitech has pedals that emulate the Metal Zone, that says alot man. My only complaint is how old it is verses the price. Still worth it though, Boss still makes the best boxes. I recommend this to any metalhead that can appreciate good tone. The ladies will also notice you more, I got married soon after I got mine. Just in time cause my hair is thining out, must be from all the high voltage metal.

Thrash Metal
I got this pedal a few weeks ago. It is so totally thrash metal. It allows you alot of shaping to your tone, and it sounds great with lots of treble. It is an insane improvement from overdrive sound. It kicks ass (duh, Boss) and anyone who likes Metallica should get this pedal.
