An expansive pedalboard's worth of BOSS effects in one versatile unit.

It's one thing to have a sprawling pedalboard with every effect pedal you'd ever need, but if one pedal can give you awesome, versatile tone and portability, look no further than the BOSS ME-70. Consolidating over 40 great BOSS effects into a single floor-based multi-effects unit, the ME-70 pedal has no confusing menus or displays to sift through—it was designed to be just as easy to use as a collection of stompboxes. Organized into logical groups, these Boss effects are dialed in with dedicated front-panel knobs. All these guitar effects are housed in Boss's distinctive rock-solid, all-metal chassis, and it runs on either AC power or batteries for maximum portability.

The Effects

The BOSS ME-70 has 8 different effects groups, and all of them can be used independently or simultaneously. Once you dial up your effect type and customize it on the front panel, you can even save your settings for each effect type.

Manual and Memory

The BOSS ME-70 pedal has 2 operating modes: Manual and Memory. In Manual mode the effects function like a floor full of stompboxes; all adjustable on the fly. Its 4 dedicated footswitches allow you to turn the essential effects groups on and off. Once you've got your sound where you want it, Memory mode lets you save the setup as a patch for instant recall. You can save up to 36, and the ME-70 comes with 36 presets to get you started. In Memory mode, the 4 main footswitches let you switch patches and banks with ease.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

  • Tonal Versatility

As reviewed by Alan on 8/16/2010

This is a very great pedal, but let me tell you why: COSM Modeling offers a lot of options from a loud flanger distortion to a clean harmony lead, to even a distortion-pitch shifting or a clean/distortion wah wah effect. The possibilities are endless! Manual Mode is a fancy way of saying that you can use this as a "Selecting pedals on/off individually or have them all on" kind of a feature. Memory Mode means that you press "Edit/exit" when on Memory Mode to adjust the tone you would like to save. After you have dialed in the desired tone, you press "Write" and VOILA!!! You've saved a tone in a specific patch. (U1, U2, P1, P2, P3:Bank 1, 2, 3, 4) You can even fill up all the slots with YOUR tone! This thing has served me a couple of practice sessions with my band and didn't disappoint, I even used it flawlessly at a talent show! Remember: it's BOSS, so it will not fail! So this is your chance to create your tones, save them, play them, and to have fun! I recommend it!

  • my first and only pedal

As reviewed by salvador on 1/19/2011

I wanted to buy some pedals for distortion and wah but I saw this and wow its one of the best options to buy. It has a lot of efects and you can customize them, you can use the pedal like an equalizer, pre amp and like a tuner. The distortion its very good, the wah too, the slow gear is cool, the octave and the harmony are very useful. Its very easy to use and it will be your friend to play guitar

  • just traded in for this baby... so worth it

As reviewed by JT on 8/12/2010

i had an electro harmonix memory boy delay pedal and a slash dunlop wah. today i traded those in for this bad boy. i am so glad i did. the compression sustain is now a necessary part of almost every song i play. i can skip the preamp, but still use the reverb, which is amazing. the od/ds (overdrive/distortion) took a few minutes of playing around for perfect tone, but it also is amazing. the modulation part can produce a variety of cool tones, my personal favorite being the flanger with the knobs set to give it an underwater feel. the delay is just as good as the e-h memory boy, plus there is a really useful effects loop. the pedal part itself is good. the wah is a little weak, but not serious, and otherwise i have no complaints. i especially like the octaver function for the pedal, which is fun to mess around on for wierd sounds. all in all, well worth the 5 stars
