Stylish design, a road-tough build, and comfortable, smooth action. Expression output for use with expression-compatible amps, effects, and even synthesizers.
I bought mine a couple of weeks ago and have gigged with it twice. It has very smooth action and is built solid. I love the ability to set the minimum volume, something you don't get on other pedals.

The FV-500H is a great pedal, well built and highly functional. A volume pedal can be used several different ways: control the overall volume of your chain, volume swells, and controlling the amount of drive from other pedals. This Boss pedal excels at all those functions and is well-built. I expect this one to last a long time.

If there's one thing you've got to love about a Boss pedal unit, it's that it's made for stompin'. This volume pedal is housed on a large, extra durable chassis with a full coverage of grip, which makes it easy to play and hard to miss. Have not used as a keys expression pedal, but great as a volume pedal for my bass. Note that this is also a passive unit; it does not use batteries or a power supply. The FV-500H will not make any changes, good or bad, to the tone of your setup. The only drawback that some might remotely see is being too large for some pedalboards at 11.5"l x 4.5"w x 2.5"h. Personally, though, that's why I picked it, as I'm always afraid I'll slip or lose balance with smaller units by other brands.

this is the best volume pedal period. It has a control of how easy it is to move the pedal and has a tuner out so that the tuner is out of the way of the signal, that is very useful.

Good quality, strong construction. The "Minimum Volume" control and tuner output are nice features. I recommend this product if you are just looking for a no nonsense volume pedal
