Not worth the Name BOSE

By Heather hidalgo

from Colorado Springs

Not great sound quality, just a pair of headphones for a Cheaper price. Again, I'm not sure if it's just not I Phone, I pad, I touch compatible but it's not great sound with any of these devices. Volume must be maxed just to enjoy normal sound quality, not excellent sound quality.

Great Handy Headphones

By Trevor Prefling

from Ione, CA

I have been using these headphones for about 2 years now, and they have gone through quite a bit of abuse, loud music, and other sorts of things and they just don't quit punching out the music. Will probably get another 2 years out of them at this rate, the quality of the music and the silencing of outside sounds is so good, highly recommend them to anybody. :)

Paying for the Name

About Me Hobbyist, Non-pro Musician

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Cord Too Short
  • Poor Value

Best Uses

  • Portable Devices
  • With My Computer

The headphones are compact, but the sound isn't any better than my Sony MDR-V500. The cord on the Bose is flimsy and only time will tell if it will last. It comes with a bag to carry and store, but for the price I could make do with an after market container. I paid quite a bit less for my Sony headphones and the Sony comes with a heavier and longer cord with both plug sizes. The Bose headphones were a lot more. The Sonys also swivel and are sturdier. I don't have a complaint with the sound for what I will use them for, but for anything more than casual listening I would get something else. The Bose were a gift from my wife so I'm not taking them back. Do your self a favor and try others before you pay the big price for the name.

Great!

By Justin Thorup

from Arizona

I love these headphones. The design is great because it fits your ears and on the inside it's tilted to fit the angle of your ear. This means no pain from wearing them for long periods of time. They are soft and comfortable on the ear and to wear. They are not noise cancelling, but they still work wonders. They easily plug-in to my computer so I can listen to music while I work late at night and not have to disturb the kids. It's fun to use with my phone too. If you are looking for a nice quality product that sounds great and is comfortable to wear, I would recommend these you you.

The only complain I have isn't with the headphones, but with my head. My ears get warm and toasty after wearing them for a long time. I have to take them off so my ears can cool off.

AE2

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

The sound quality didnt impress me at all, did not sound much different than maxell $30 headphones, the only thing I loved about these was how comfy they were. I ended up taking them back.

Best bang for your buck

By Smeker

from Chicago

Excellent sound quality for recording, or just to listen to your Ipod.Only reason I'm giving it 4.5 is a little cheap feeling to the craftsmanship, but once you get over the feeling you'll break them if you have a big head and try to put them on, you will be in a sound nirvana. Also, they are very light and very comfortable. :O)

Bose AE2 Headphones

By watic

from Central Coast California

I purchased the Bose AE2 Headphones at a local store and was dissapointed with the sound quality. In most songs the guitar sounded too quiet or muddy compaired to my Maxell headphones that were only $45. The AE2 was very comfortable but also lacked the bass I was hoping for. I will be returning them to the store of purchase, but if they were $100 cheaper I would probably keep them.
