Engineered to deliver natural sound and high output.

Get the audio quality, versatility, and durability you need and expect from BOSE with the Panaray 802 Series III loudspeaker. BOSE has beefed up their flagship professional loudspeaker to deliver high-output performances for medium-size clubs, large indoor venues, and outdoor spaces. Special drivers and active equalization help reproduce vocals and musical instruments with improved smoothness and warmth-whether it's live or recorded music, and at all volume levels.

High-performance sound
The Bose Panaray 802 III speaker delivers clear, lifelike sound and is designed to avoid acoustical deadspots thanks to its Bose 4.5" drivers and Articulated Array speaker configuration. The Bose Panaray 802 Series III loudspeaker uses 8 proprietary full-range drivers to provide a more consistent sound field than conventional speakers that rely on woofers, tweeters, and crossovers. Its BOSE proprietary speaker configuration uses a baffle array for each driver to provide wide horizontal and vertical dispersion over all bandwidths.

Need a speaker that works as hard as you do? The Bose Panaray 802 III speakers are part of BOSE's Installed Anywhere speaker line, meeting their strict standards for outdoor use. The transducer has been upgraded to withstand snow, sleet, and rain, severe cold, high heat and humidity-the worst that Mother Nature can dish out. The Bose speaker's input/output connectors are extremely rugged and reliable, and the sturdy yet lightweight mica-reinforced polyethylene speaker cabinet stands up to severe weather and frequent transporting.

It doesn't matter how great you sound if you can't get your gear to the event. That's why the compact Bose Panaray 802 III speakers was designed for remarkable portability. Set up and teardown are a snap and its sleeker styling conserves space both on stage and in the van. A full line of brackets and stands further accommodates a wide variety of configurations.

  • Bose - Best Speaker Ever Made

As reviewed by DJ RED on 10/19/2006

I have owned a pair of Bose 802 speakers for six years and have never encountered a problem with them. The sound is, quite simply, phenomenal. The highs are crisp and the mids are warm. I added a JBL EON subwoofer to my system and it is mind blowing! I constantly get compliments on my system. Being a female DJ, I look for products which are not so heavy to carry. These speakers are only 30lbs which means they are compact and easy to manage. They are worth every penny, you get what you pay for! You also have to purchase the Bose controller to operate these speakers but overall this system is well worth it. I highly recommend the Bose 802 speakers.

  • Great speakers for the mobile DJ

As reviewed by John on 1/17/2008

I am a competent DJ and have used several loudspeakers from competing brands. I have used the Mackie SRM 450s and found them to be too harsh. The dB loudspeakers I had tend to be similar but the bass was muddy. The 802 Series III loudspeakers I use now deliver a clear, clean sound throughout the room. They are also really easy to tear down, and the portability makes them a cinch. The only drawbacks I've found is the bass response can be poor. The rooms acoustics seem to affect it a fair bit, but it's difficult if you need the 802s in a specific place for high-mid coverage. The way I resolved this was to purchase the MB4 bass units. I was looking at 502B - but they were big and didn't extend deeper than the 802s. From experience of them in the past the omnidirectional nature tended to cause bar staff to go crazy at the level of bass. The MB24 was another consideration, had the sound but was too loud and too heavy to take to mobile DJ events. I settled on the MB4 because of portability and performance for the size. Together the 802/MB4 system provides great sound for about 500 people, even at nightclub volume levels (110dB A) The 802s tend to have a warm, less harsh sound than their counterparts. However I have found them to require a huge amplifier to cope with the extra EQing the Controller puts out. Overall through, the system never fails to perform and 802s have always been relaible for me and many of my DJ buddies who have used them for years. I use a QSC 2450 RMX to drive these speakers - and have found it a good match. I think a lot of the time with the 802s you just need the right set-up, correct placement and good amplification to get those cones moving. They do the job very well - put it that way!

  • Fantastic Speakers!!!

As reviewed by G. Manuel on 3/9/2009

I purchased a pair of these for my church a few weeks ago. We started showing movies in our sanctuary and we wanted to upgrade our current speakers (JBL JRX115 - good value) to ensure we'd have the best sound. We also use these weekly for our worship band. Our church seats about 180. I was debating between these and higher end JBL's or Mackie's. The bose reputation, compact design, light weight, land ow watts helped me decide on purchasing these. Yes they aren't cheap, but keep in mind they are only slightly more than the high end speakers that the competition offers. I was concerned that I'd have to buy the expensive Bose digital controller to use these speakers. After I spoke with a rep from Bose I learned that the contoller is not necessary. In fact the manual for the 802's shows you can set them up with or with out the contoller. They work like any other speaker - just connect your amp to it and you're set. We use a Mackie mixing board, going into a DBX limiter/compressor and then into a QSC 1850HD amplifier. The fact that these only require 250 watts is great! That means you don't have to spend a lot of money on a high power amp to use these. After setting them up (you'll need to get speakon adapters if you're using the usual quarter inch speaker cables) we immediately noticed a higher quality in sound compared to our previous speakers. The 802's sound amazing. The sound is pure and pristine, just fabulous. We immediatley knew we had made a wise move in upgrading to these. They give us terrific sound for our movies and work marvelously for our worship band. The vocals and everything else comes out clear and wonderfully. Some reviews I read expressed concern about their bass. I didn't hear any lack of bass from these, but they will sound different (I can't explain it) if you're used to hearing a typical speaker with a 15 inch woofer. So the bass is not lacking but it is best to use a subwoofer if you need ground shaking bass. We use a Carvin sub for our movie nights (movies need a sub). We find that we don't need a sub for our band, the 802's work great - plenty of bass for our group. In my opinion, the 802's are fantastic speakers! Top quality sound in an amazingly small and light design. They will cost you but they are worth every cent! I expect these to take care of us for a few decades - they are Bose!
